Nutrition Ninja Tactics & Optimization Techniques w/Scott Mendelson
When it comes to fitness and nutrition, one of the biggest challenges many people face is separating misleading/incorrect information on the internet from what truly works. What are some of the biggest myths and lies that are impacting people? What are tactics that work well to maximize fat loss and promote good nutrition? How can we identify if we’re being sold a lie? On this episode, elite coach, speaker, author and the Director of Infinity Fitness, Scott Mendelson, is back to give high level insights on optimizing the right way. Three Takeaways If you’re on a relatively low-carb plan, you can use a weight training session of about 45 minutes to wipe out glycogen. After that, you can do an after burner of 20 minutes of steady state cardio. In order to maximize fat loss, we have to employ macronutrient cycling and promote metabolic flexibility. If we eat the same things over and over again, our bodies are going to get sick of it. We have to use rotations of different foods to keep food intolerances at bay.

High-Level Peptide Recommendations for Superhero Performance, Cognitive Function & Skin w/Dr. Elizabeth Yurth
Biohacking is a huge part of being optimized, and peptides are the most game-changing biohacking tools in our arsenal. What are some of the next level, less well-known peptides that are available on the market? How can arthritic and orthopedic patients fix the root cause of their bone issues? Why do we need to stop trying to use data to predict life patterns? On this episode, I’m joined by renowned orthopedic, anti-aging, regenerative physician and peptide expert, Dr. Elizabeth Yurth. She shares on how we can biohack our way to better health with peptides. Three Takeaways The structure of allopathic medicine has turned doctors from true healers into bureaucrats. If people over the age of 50 moderated sugar and minimized alcohol, they would double their expected life span. The best peptides at the moment include 5-amino 1MQ, GHK Copper, and Cerebrolysin.

Non-Surgical Hair Restoration w/Jessica Oslo
Hair thinning and loss is an issue that affects a lot of men, and can impact their self-esteem, self-confidence, and how they carry themselves in the world. Luckily, there are non-surgical solutions that can give instant results without recovery time and negative side effects. How does the process work, and what can you expect during and after the procedure? Who is the perfect candidate for this procedure? On this episode, I’m joined by highly regarded hair restoration expert and practitioner, and founding partner of Vantis Institute, Jessica Oslo. She talks about how she helps her patients get their hair and confidence back with this modern “best-kept secret” treatment for an age old problem. Three Takeaways For the procedure, Jessica assesses the diameter, density and pigment of the hair follicle, and then she replicates it with organic pigment and a microneedling device. Each procedure takes between 4 and 5 hours, and is completely painless. You won’t have to worry about taking off work to recover as you would with surgery. If you want the look of thick and dense hair, without pain and long recovery time, non-invasive restoration will be a better option than a hair transplant.

How to Modulate and Mediate Senescence As You Age w/Dr. Suzanne Turner
Senescence, or the degradation of our DNA cells, is the reason our bodies age and damage over time. How does cell damage impact how our bodies function? How does living a pro-inflammatory lifestyle impact our health and how we age over time? Why is fasting such a powerful optimization tool? On this episode, functional and longevity medicine practice physician, Dr. Suzanne Turner, shares on senescence and what we can do about it. Three Takeaways As we age, the cells in our body start to die (or go through senescence), and they start to spew out inflammatory chemicals and attack our innate stem cells, making them unable to heal us. We now live in an age where all the information about health and wellness is so readily available. A lot of older patients didn’t come up in a generation where people talked about the importance of diet and exercise. Ketone esters are a great supplement for mediating senescence, especially when taken along with intermittent fasting. Take 5g four times a day, when you would normally eat breakfast with black coffee, and then lunch or dinner or even before bed. Dr. Turner recommends these brands: KetoneAid or HVMN. At the start of the show, Dr. Suzanne Turner shared how she got started, and why peptides are the present and future of medicine. Next, we talked about whether neurological disorders are caused by lifestyle choices, and the impact of cellular stress and disease. We also discussed; Why fasting is key to mediating senescence Why we should stop taking growth hormone The best supplements and peptides for mediating senescence

The Shift From Long Life to Quality of Life and Healthspan Optimization w/Dr. Mike Carragher
Modern living is laying siege to our endocrine, biological and spiritual systems. In order to claw back our health, we have to prioritize optimization at every level of society, from clinicians to consumers. How do we combat sickness, and expand our lifespans in a meaningful and impactful way? Why is the medical community’s panic over estrogen lab values such a huge fallacy? In our optimization regimens, how can we also make room for spiritual fitness and why it is so necessary? On this episode, we’re joined by top age management physician, Dr. Mike Carragher. He shares on challenging the sick care model, and achieving fitness in every area of our lives. Three Takeaways When we’re born, we have self-regulating cells. As time goes on, those cells are compromised through disease and poor nutritional choices. Peptides address these issues. Health shouldn’t just be about living longer. It’s about making sure those lives and bodies are of good quality, and that we can move through the world and interact with it in a meaningful way. Everything that we have that’s physical and material is a disintegrating frequency except the love in our hearts and the experiences we’ve had. At the start of the show, Dr. Mike Carragher shared how he got started in medicine, and why he was so drawn to age management and health optimization. We also discussed how endocrine disrupting chemicals are causing the feminization of everything. We also discussed; The shocking lack of nutritional training in medical schools The fallacy of lab values Spiritual practices and routines to help us tap into what matters Guest Bio- Dr. Carragher is Board Certified in Family Medicine, with advanced certification in Age Management Medicine. Ayahuasca & The True Purpose Of Plant Medicine w/Zach Poitra
Ayahuasca is one of the most soul-changing, healing and consciousness-shifting substances known to man. It is well-known for its visionary aspect, but it also has incredible healing properties when it comes to setting our hearts and souls free of pain, trauma and emotional suffering. What is the passage of purification that takes place when we start taking Ayahuasca? What can we expect to experience when we’re on it? What is the true purpose of Ayahuasca, not the highly mainstream and commodified messaging we hear? On this episode, we’re joined by Amazonian shamanism and Ayahuasca practitioner, Zach Poitra. He shares on the power of Ayahuasca in the spiritual journey. Three Takeaways People who try out manifestation practice end up getting attached to the outcome, but the correct approach is allowance and acceptance with zero attachment. When we start taking Ayahuasca, it starts out as a medicine clearing out our clogged channels and baggage. Then, it transitions into a sacrament that allows us to have the experience of ascension. Ayahuasca brings up hidden emotions, traumas and feelings to the surface so that we can integrate them, accept them and release them. Money is an energetic currency that flows into our lives because we’re doing the right things like being of service to others. At the start of the show, Zach Poitra talked about how he got started, and the journey he took that brought him to his first encounter with Ayahuasca. Next, we talked about how Ayahuasca works, the kinds of conditions it treats, and the experiences one can have when they take it. We discussed how to prepare mentally, emotionally and physically for an Ayahuasca experience. We also talked about the difference between using Ayahuasca as a medicine and as a sacrament. We also discussed; Why Peru is the place where many people experience increased consciousness. The plant-medicine diet protocol and Shamanic dieting The commodification on plant medicine The importance of thinking multi-dimensionally Guest Bio- Zach began drinking Ayahuasca in 2009. At that time he was working in Finance and while he was successful, he found himself very dissatisfied and depressed. He knew that something was "off". After some searching via other modalities, he decided to take a trip to Peru and attend a 9 day Ayahuasca & shamanic dieta retreat. Zach moved to Jenaro Hererra in 2010 and stayed in Peru until mid 2014. Upon his arrival to Jenaro Hererra, Zach began drinking Ayahuasca and doing shamanic plant dietas with the Galindo family. Zach’s main teachers were Maestro Gumercindo Galindo and Maestro Don Roldan Galindo (Gumercindo’s father). In 2011 the Galindo family and Zach opened an Ayahuasca retreat center, La Familia Medicina. La Familia Medicina conducted Ayahuasca and shamanic plant dieta retreats from 2011 to mid 2014. In late 2013, Maestro Gumercindo Galindo gave Zach the title of "Maestro". The Connection Between the Ketogenic Diet & Metabolic Flexibility w/Ben Azadi
Ketogenic dieting is such a big buzzword right now, but there’s a lot of misinformation surrounding it, especially when it comes to using it for metabolic flexibility. How can we use ketosis to burn fat, without it controlling our whole lives? Why is fasting one of the most powerful metabolic tools we have in our health toolkit? How do anger, resentment and hate destroy our physical health? On this episode, I’m joined by the founder of Keto Kamp, Ben Azadi. He shares on the tools we can use to optimize ourselves mentally, spiritually and physically. Takeaways Keto and the Atkins diet are not the same. Atkins did not focus on the quality of the fats; it was high fat, high protein and low carb. Keto is high healthy fat, moderate protein and low carb. Instead of taking energy, blood flow and resources to digest food, when we fast, all that energy gets used to heal the body, fuel the brain and tap into the divine. There’s a big difference between what you need to do to gain health and longevity, and what it takes to put on size. Your eating should be tied to your goals. Studies have shown that the amount of silver fillings in people’s mouths is proportional to the amount of mercury they have in their brains. Ceramic fillings are toxin-free alternative. At the start of the show, Ben shared the transformation he had in his life, and how reading and taking responsibility were the key to the change. Next, Ben shared on the ketogenic diet, and how it differs from Atkins. We also talked about the big lie we’ve been told about mercury fillings, and how to use fasting for autophagy. We also discussed Why hitting rock bottom is both scary and inspiring Why keto isn’t just a diet The spiritual effect of fasting The importance of sleep and the dangers of phones, social media and AirPods Ketogenic dieting is a tool we can use to reset our metabolism, reduce cellular inflammation and teach our bodies to burn fat for fuel. If we’re doing it right, it can allow us to meet our weight loss goals, but still give us the freedom to flex in and out of ketosis. The goal should be to use optimization techniques like this and fasting to improve our quality of life, but that doesn’t just mean in the physical sense. We also need to work on self-awareness, self-love and gratitude. Ultimately, we’re born with an empty bucket, and emotional stressors/bad health fill it up very quickly. Once all the toxic stuff overflows, that’s when we get serious illnesses, and life slips out of our hands. Guest Bio- Ben is a bestselling author, expert in human metabolism and metabolic flexibility and the founder of Keto Kamp. He is on a mission to help 1 billion people live a healthier lifestyle. Ben is the author of three best-selling books, The Perfect Health Booklet, The Intermittent Fasting Cheat Sheet, and The Power of Sleep. Ben has been the go-to source for intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet. He is known as ‘The Health Detective’ because he investigates dysfunction and educates, not medicates, to bring the body back to normal function. Visit http://www.benazadi.com/ for more information. The Discovery of Grounding w/Clint Ober Part 2
Grounding and earthing are becoming more and more mainstream by the day, but it wasn’t always this way for the man who brought the practice into existence. What was the process of taking grounding away from the fringes, and into a more mainstream lifestyle? What does grounding do for our bodies, immune and nervous systems? How does the invention of plastics directly link to the health problems so many people are facing? On this episode, I continue my conversation with grounding pioneer, Clint Ober. He shares on what his grounding studies taught him, how grounding actually works and how we can all adopt it into our lifestyles. Takeaways The body is conductive, so if you want to shield it from free radicals, you don’t shield the environment, you shield the body. We live in an elevated, sympathetic state. There is so much noise and so many things in our modern existence that trigger our flight or fight response. EMFs are an example of this noise, and without grounding, they will damage our bodies. Animals in the wild don’t have the health disorders because they are grounded. Domesticated animals are prone to the same illnesses as human beings because they too are not grounded. At the start of this episode, Dr. Clint shares how he went about the process of getting studies to support the idea of grounding, and the resistance he faced from mainstream experts. We talked about how the nervous system relates to grounding, and why the practice is so necessary in this day and age. We also talked about how grounding beginners can adopt the practice into their daily lives. We also discussed; How Clint was able to bridge the electrical with the biological Why EMFs are a huge problem The chain reaction that sets off chronic inflammation How the invention of plastic affected our health negatively Grounding should be a front and center protocol for all things health because it can be applied to so many health issues plaguing our society. When we ground ourselves, we take the stress off your immune systems, and undo the chain reaction that sets off chronic inflammation. If we are grounded, EMF and free radicals, won’t be able to penetrate our bodies, we will actually deflect it. In order to undo the effects of all the toxicity we’re dealing with, we need to have more redox potential by introducing more free electrons in our bodies. It’s as simple as spending some time in nature and getting grounded as much as possible. It can change and save lives. Guest Bio- Clinton Ober is CEO of EarthFX Inc., a research and development company located in Palm Springs. He first learned of grounding when marketing and installing Cable TV systems in Billings, Montana in the early 1960’s. A decade later, he formed Telecrafter Corporation and built it into the largest provider of cable installation services in the United States. This company specialized in proper grounding of cable installations for safety and signal stability. In the 1980’s, he turned his attention to the developing computer industry and partnered with McGraw-Hill to distribute live digital news services, via cable, to PCs. This led to the development of the first cable modem and an increased awareness of the need for proper system grounding. Following a health challenge in 1995, he retired and embarked on a personal journey looking for a higher purpose in life. During his travels, he noticed people wearing plastic and rubber soled shoes that insulate the body from earth. He wondered if no longer being naturally grounded could affect us. The question led to an experiment that suggested grounding reduced pain and improved sleep. He developed a working hypothesis: Grounding normalizes functioning of all body systems (Corollary: The body utilizes the earth’s electrical potential to maintain its internal electrical stability for the normal functioning of all self-regulating and self-healing systems). Over the past eighteen years, he has supported a host of research studies that collectively demonstrate that grounding reduces inflammation and promotes normal functioning of all body systems.

The Discovery of Grounding w/Clint Ober Part 1
Grounding has become massive international movement that has revolutionized health and healing for many. Today, I’m honored to talk to the man who made this movement a possibility, and he shares the story behind the incredible discovery he made. How did he get started in grounding? How did he make the transition from corporate to nature? What did he learn from his own health crisis? On this episode, I’m joined by the leader of the grounding movement and CEO of EarthFX, Clint Ober, who shares on his amazing life story and the journey he has taken. At the start of the episode, we talked about how Chris had a medical crisis, the experimental surgery that saved his life, and what the experience taught him about the human body. Next, we talked about how that near-death experience led to him changing his entire life, and how he escaped the prison of consumerism. We also talked about how Clint discovered grounding, the results he got, and how he started helping other people. We also discussed; How national parks are the only places to connect with nature How the broadcasting industry inspired Clint’s discovery of grounding The benefits of grounding Guest Bio- Clinton Ober is CEO of EarthFX Inc., a research and development company located in Palm Springs. Shamanism, Vibrational Frequencies & The Benefit of Taking Shamanic Journeys w/Dr. Dave Murphy
Shamanism is a practice that has been in existence for over 40,000 years. It has a massive global pull and influence. Why is it so powerful and necessary in our world today? What is the difference between shamanism and religion? How can shamanism benefit people? On this episode, I’m joined by professor and shaman, Dr. Dave Murphy, who shares his journey with shamanism, and why it’s such a powerful practice. Takeaways + Tactics We’re not physical beings and the things around us aren’t physical. We are vibrating energy fields. Everything in this world is a vibrating energy field with different frequencies. This means we’re all connected. Shamanism is experiential, while religion is more about being told what to do. When someone has a traumatic experience, a piece of their soul will break off and it can be found in the lower world and restored through shamanism. At the start of the show, Dr. Dave Murphy defined vibrational frequencies and why everything in this world isn’t physical. Next, we talked about shamanism, the different types, and its origin. We also discussed how religion controls people in a negative way, and how shamanism differs. Towards the end of the show, we talked about how Dr. Murphy got into shamanism. We also discussed; Why everything is connected How Dr. Murphy enters the meditative state The benefits of going down the shamanic path What we call matter is actually condensed vibrational energy that everything on this planet shares and is connected through. Shamanism allows us to tap into that vibrational level, and it has the ability to change our lives and the lives of other people. It allows us to change our perception of reality, and start to see the world as it really is, not the way we’ve been brainwashed to see it. Guest Bio- Dr. Dave Murphy is a college professor, and shamanic practitioner. He earned a Ph. D. from Washington State University in 1989. He also received an N.D. degree and certification as an advanced nutritional consultant and master herbalist from the Trinity College of Natural Health. In addition, he earned a 500 hour certificate of proficiency with highest honors in Ayurvedic medicine from The National Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine/Institute of Indian Medicine.
