The Daily Grace Podcast
The Daily Grace Co.
The Daily Grace Podcast exists to encourage and equip women to seek God in His Word. Our goal is for women to know that deep Bible study, sound doctrine, and rich theology are not just for the seminary student or pastor, but are accessible and transformational for all believers. We want to invite women to join us in our conversation about our great God, and be encouraged to seek a deeper knowledge of God that leads them to live their lives for God glory as they grow in love and awe in response to who He is.

What Are Your Idols?
What do you value, honor, and treasure? What consumes your time, energy, and thoughts? Idolatry is not just worshipping a golden calf on a physical shrine. Idols can be good things that become ultimate things that capture our heart’s affections. This is why idolatry is actually a worship problem. We are not hopeless in this -- there is a practical remedy for our idolatry problem.

A Life of Worship
On today’s episode, we talk about worship. Did you know that you are a worshipper? Pastor Paul David Tripp says, “Human beings by their very nature are worshipers … Everybody worships; it’s just a matter of what, or whom, we serve.” As believers, we want to engage in authentic worship as prescribed by God in His Word. And as we study Scripture, it becomes very clear that worship is not relegated to a particular time or location -- it’s not just the music portion of our Sunday services in church! It is actually all encompassing; the purpose of everything we do is worship. Worship is actually the means by which we glorify God and enjoy Him forever! Our prayer is that this conversation will be edifying and encourage you to see all of life as worship.

Discipleship & Evangelism with Tamzen Baker
What is discipleship and evangelism? Is there a systematic way to do both of these things or is it a more organic process? Are these things reserved for those on church staff? What about the stay-at-home mama with babies and toddlers or the single college student struggling through Algebra? Our guest, Tamzen Baker, shares personal stories that show us that discipleship and evangelism should be (and can be!) part of the lives of all believers. She talks about how to combat feelings of not being equipped enough to disciple someone and what to do when you just don’t know the answers to questions you may get about the Bible. We hope this conversation encourages you on your walk -- if you are a disciple of Jesus, you are called to disciple and proclaim the good news!

Self-Care & The Gospel
Self-care is a trendy topic. If self-care is just taking intentional steps to cultivate your physical, mental, and emotional health, what’s wrong with it? This topic isn’t so black and white. God created us as finite beings, and the limits that He has ordained are for our good. Rest is a gift! However, true rest according to God’s Word is not the same as what our culture promotes under the label of “self-care”. We’ll talk about what it means to have a healthy, biblical view of self-care, and we’ll even offer practical tips to engage in true rest that will refresh your soul in the Lord.
DISCLAIMER: In this episode, we mention the term “mental health.” This term has a broad range of usage, and we are not using it to refer to mental health in any clinical sense. This podcast episode is not intended to treat or diagnose any mental health conditions. If you have a clinical mental health condition, or think you might, we encourage you to see a licensed mental health professional and connect with your local pastor.

Social Media & The Gospel
Are you on social media? Whether it’s microblogging on Instagram, staying connected to extended family on Facebook, or vlogging your morning routine on Youtube, a variety of options to engage on digital platforms is at your fingertips. Even if you’re not engaged on any of these platforms, social media has shaped the culture and its impact is far reaching. It could even be argued that this topic impacts everyone, regardless of personal use of social media! But it’s also important to realize that this impact isn’t always positive (although there are benefits!). We’ll discuss potential dangers related to social media from three angles: its impact on how we relate to God, to ourselves, and to others. But don’t worry -- we also discuss the benefits and offer practical tips on how to use social media in a healthy way that brings gospel hope others.

Raised With Christ
He is risen! Easter is about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The death and resurrection of Christ is central to the Christian faith. And as D.A. Carson said, “The entire Bible pivots on one weekend in Jerusalem about two thousand years ago.” Believers shouldn’t brush over the empty tomb—no, we can believe in the gospel because the resurrection happened, just as He said it would! The resurrection should change the way that we live on this side of eternity. Because of our union with Christ, we can live in light of the hope of the resurrection! It is this very hope that empowers us to live radical and countercultural lives. Are our decisions reflecting the hope that we have in the resurrection?

Suffering & Sovereignty with Maritza Gutierrez-Ray
She unexpectedly lost a child in a tragic accident, unexpectedly lost her husband due to an unknown heart condition, yet those who know Maritza will describe her as joyful. Her story is a powerful testimony of our great God who makes beauty from ashes (Isa. 61:3). Maritza is a sweet sister in Christ and active member of Sojourn Community Church – Woodstock alongside Joanna. She is a widow and joyful mama of five adult children (plus one in heaven). She is a busy bee working as a defect and production manager at AT&T, a Chaplain for Marketplace Chaplains, and an employee at a yarn shop (where she also teaches others how to knit). May her story remind us that our God is completely sovereign and completely good. May her story encourage us by pointing to the unchanging nature of our God. We are grateful for her vulnerability and willingness to share her story, and in response, may we worship our God for who He is.

Your Identity in Christ
Who are you? Does your life matter? Your identity informs everything you do, and the world, our flesh, and the Devil want us to misplace our identities. We anchor our identity in all the wrong places—what we do, what we love, what others have said about us, or even some hidden strength or identity within ourselves—but these things are not enough. We find out identity in Christ alone, and when we anchor our sense of self in who we are in Christ, every aspect of our lives will be transformed.

Preaching the Gospel to Yourself
#preachingthegospeltomyself // what does that mean? How do we do it? Why is it an important practice in our lives? We are going to start with sharing what the gospel exactly is -- we need to know the gospel in order to be able to communicate the gospel to ourselves and others. Only then can we apply the gospel to every aspect of our lives! We even share a lot of practical tips on how to do this -- it doesn’t have to be a long, drawn-out practice! Whatever you’re experiencing right now - tragedy, grief, loneliness, infertility, toddler tantrums, or just sticky floors -- the gospel applies.
