This interview with Jay Penton is a Regular Joe Episode. Jay is 52 and lives in Prattville, AL with his wife Dana. They have 2 children. Delaney who is 21, a special needs adult who helps mom at home and Joey who is 19 and attends the University of Alabama-Huntsville. Jay has been in law enforcement most of his adult life. He joined the Army as a MP in 1989. Was part of the US invasion of Panama and the first Gulf War. In 1996 left active duty and joined the National Guard and retired after a total of 22 years in the military. In 1997, Jay became an Alabama State Trooper and is still there. Jay became a Christian at the age of 8, but wandered as a young adult. After marrying his wife God moved on his life and drew him back to Him. Now, after wading around in the mud for so many years he now gets to pull other guys out of the mud with His strength. He has been a member of Boones Chapel Baptist Church since 2006. Jay was ordained as a deacon in 2009 and was called to men's ministry in 2013. Jay serves as the Men's Pastor at Boones Chapel.
