Surviving Life's Plane Crashes w/ Flight 232 Survivor Jerry Schemmel, EP 516

Jerry Schemmel is a survivor of United Airlines flight 232 that crashed landed on July 19, 1989.  Jerry grew up in Madison, SD, with his six siblings. He attended Washburn University in Topeka, KS where he played on the baseball team. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Communications in 1982, Jerry went to law school at Washburn University School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor in 1985. He has been both an assistant baseball coach and head coach, at the college level. He spent 10 seasons as a radio broadcaster for the Colorado Rockies, after 18 seasons in the same role with the Denver Nuggets. Jerry Schemmel wrote two books. First, Chosen To Live, from 1996 that chronicles his experience from surviving the crash of Flight 232. Proverbs 29:3 and 5:3-4 Guardrail #2 Never be alone with a woman behind closed doors or alone in public. Proverbs 8:11-12 Guardrail #3 Never engage in negative talk about your marriage or wife with another woman. Proverbs 24:3 and 30:20 Guardrail #4 Never compliment a woman unless your wife is present or somehow woven into the compliment. Proverbs 17:24 Example: ―Your hair looks nice that color. My wife dyes her hair too but I love her no matter what color her hair is. Guardrail #5 Never have longstanding counseling relationships with another woman. Proverbs 2:16 and 14:8 Guardrail #6 Never make physical contact with a sensual area of another woman even if it’s just a hug. Proverbs 5:20 and 6:26 Example: Front hug as opposed to a side hug.
