WTMJ host Steve Scaffidi was joined by WISN Channel 12 political reporter Matt Smith, and they began by talking about Matt’s jam-packed UpFront show from the previous Sunday covering U.S. President Donald Trump’s equally jam-packed first week back in office. One of the things Trump did was sign an executive order getting rid of birthright citizenship and a clip of U.S. Senator from Wisconsin Ron Johnson’s thoughts on the matter from UpFront; Steve and Matt discussed.
Another clip from Ron Johnson was played where he commented on the pardons issued by Trump for the perpetrators of the January 6th, 2021, riots; Steve and Matt discussed, and Matt talked more about what he talked about with the Senator including immigration issues.
Steve asked Matt about the scope and scale of UpFront.
The next clip played was from Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul about a police funding bill needed to carry out Trump’s executive orders on deportation; Matt and Steve discussed

WTMJ host Steve Scaffidi was joined in-studio by Republican strategist Bill McCoshen and Democratic strategist Joe Zepecki and they began by discussing U.S. President Donald Trump’s first four days in office. Joe thought Trump didn’t do a lot of meaningful things and Bill thought he had a terrific first 100 hours.
Next up, Bill, Joe and Steve talk about Trump’s pardons, former U.S. President Biden’s pardons and Trump’s approval. Then they discussed Trump’s birthright citizenship executive order.
Before the bottom of the hour news, they briefly discussed the firing of CBS 58 meteorologist Sam Kuffel over her Elon Musk Nazi salute comment.
Healthcare is their next topic with what the Trump adminstration was doing with the Department of Health and Human Services.

-Joe loved the in-fighting going on within the Maga Republican crowd. Joe ditched Trump’s executive order that reversed a previous 60-year-old law that banned hiring discrimination in the federal government.
GRAB BAGS: Joe brought up Marcus Theaters paying tribute to Milwaukee Brewers play-by-play commentator Bob Uecker by showing the movie Major League for an affordable price. Bill gave a shout out to Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Steve brought back his conversation with public safety communications expert Anne E. Schwartz regarding local law enforcement and handling immigration and detainment.

WTMJ host Steve Scaffidi was joined in-studio by former U.S. Attorney James Santelle and they began by discussing presidential pardons. This included the history of the pardon, if they were absolute, what they mean and former U.S. President Joe Biden’s pre-emptive pardons (as well as their history).
Steve next asks James about the U.S. legislature’s role in Biden’s pardons as well as current U.S. President Donald Trump’s pardons towards the rioters that stormed the U.S. capitol building on January 6th, 2021, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
