This episode Dan interviews his friend and old workmate Shirl. It is an incredibly moving, candid and funny discussion that so many people will be able to associate with.  Shirl was diagnosed Autistic four years ago, around the same time as Dan, and shows another side to the diagnosis fallout. This was not an easy discussion for Shirl however the bigger priority was to share just how difficult it has been for us later diagnosed people, particularly in childhood and young adulthood.  We cannot thank Shirl enough for agreeing to talk. Like many other late diagnosed adults, we have to put up with verbal (and nonverbal) accusations of not actually being autistic, and we are up to here with it. Bianca and Dan offer their experiences around why masking is often confused with faking by some people. On this episode we go back to our roots with a classic tête-à-tête loosely based around well-known autistic people and those we think could be. We delve back to some old tv shows and movies, none of which seem to be shared by Bianca and Dan.
