Chris Harris Jr., Denver Broncos cornerback
Chris Harris Jr. is the Denver Broncos star cornerback. Along with helping them to victory in Super Bowl 50, Harris is a 4x Pro Bowler. He was signed by the Broncos in 2011 as an undrafted free agent in 2011 with a mere $2,000 signing bonus, and slotted in 12th on the depth chart for his position (only the top five players are kept after preseason training). Harris managed to earn his way in to that top five, and over the following years has developed in to one of the best players in the league. Payson sat down with Chris in his Denver, CO home last winter to discuss trash talking, who the toughest receiver to cover in the league is, the wear and tear of the sport, why a solid family life helps him perform in front of hundreds of thousands in a stadium, his very special diet (which wife Leah had on the stove as we recorded), and how being surrounded by strong women growing up has spurred him to be a voice against domestic violence. Adam Ster, healer
Adam Ster is the personal healer and bodyworker to some of the world's top athletic performers, such as NFL players and adventure sports athletes. He is an individual contractor, but some of football's top players such as Von Miller, Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib keep him as part of their support structure, regardless of where team contracts or games take them. Although Adam's methods are at times non-traditional, his reputation and track record speak for themselves. Payson caught up with Adam the past winter in Golden, CO, just hours after he lead Denver Broncos players through their Sunday pre-game routine. They discuss many case studies, including Adam's role in helping paralyzed mountain bike freeride star Paul Basagotia get back on his feet, as well as philosophies regarding nutrition, training, and becoming a better, healthier individual in general.
