He has authored and edited over twenty books and has pastored many churches. In this episode, I got to talk with Dr. Jared Compton. Dr. Compton has been on this podcast before and is one of my favorite theologians. Jared graduated from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary with his M.Div and from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with his Ph.D. He has written and co-written three books, Biblical Theology according to the Apostles: How the Earliest Christians Told Israel’s Story, Three Views on Israel and the Church in Romans 9–11, and Psalm 110 and the Logic of Hebrews. Dr. Compton has also written for many publications including Desiring God and The Gospel Coalition.We discussed how to read the Bible the way the Bible reads the Bible, that is, how to do proper Biblical theology. We also talked about Romans 9-11 and how modern Christians should interpret Pauls writings in these chapters.
