Well since we last heard from G he's been unlucky to hit the deck a few times, but in typical fashion he's battling on in Spain. The GC challenge looks like it's over, but the boys are plotting for G to slip into a breakaway next week. Well, that was an unexpected start to the Vuelta. With the clouds rolling in and torrential rain falling, the teams had to battle the conditions and even daylight to get through the opening team time trial.Sadly for INEOS (and for the pod) De Pluski was an early casualty, crashing and leaving the race on day one. G's gutted, and pays tribute to the ambassador on tonight's pod.But G stayed upright and - considering the conditions - INEOS came through with a solid time. Luke watched all the action from Germany and joined G to reflect on a crazy day one.The boys will be back early next week to update on the action - with tomorrow's second stage looking set to provide similar carnage.
