6 | 1 Thessalonians | Scripture | 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5 |

Join us as we continue our 1 Thessalonians: A Family Worthy of Imitation where we are reminded that the worry that we feel lets us know that something is important to us and just as Paul did that we would let our emotions fuel us to pray and lean into the community. The struggles in our life shouldn't drive the train, but they also shouldn't be treated like they don't exist.  How do we steward the hardships we go through? Are they pointing us towards god, or are they moving us away from the things of God?

4 | 1 Thessalonians | Scripture | 1 Thessalonians 2:13-16 |

Join us as we continue our 1 Thessalonians series on A Holy Family Worthy of Imitation where we are reminded again that the words in the bible are not just words; they are not just merely of human origin but words of God. Are we receiving the word of God as it actually is? Pure, sweet, good, powerful, and convicting. Our prayer is that we would not become so familiar with God's words that we respond like these are just words. The word of God works in us in a very clear, evident, and imitating-inducing way, only if we let it. But this type of change brings about suffering. We will be hated and excluded by people because we are moved by the gospel. Our sufferings are a reminder that we are not of this world, just living in it!
