In today’s extra special episode, Briana interviews her own sister, Ciara. With her husband, Ciara has been a foster parent for 10 years, providing a safe and loving home for 14 children. Recently, they adopted their son and are currently fostering two newborns who are six days apart (not related!). Ciara and Briana get very open and honest about the realities of being a foster parent and the adoption process. They discuss the struggles, unhelpful comments from others, and why parenting children who have experienced trauma can look very different from parenting biological children.
