On this episode of Saints Unscripted, Gustavo shared his incredible conversion story! Gustavo was born and raised in Mexico City. He was also raised in a very religious household. He had many spiritual experiences but struggled with mental health challenges and other difficult life challenges. Gustavo came across a video that attempted to disprove the Church of Jesus Christ. He then began to research the criticisms of the church (otherwise known as the Mormon Church) and saw lots of personal experiences about how the church had caused harm. He began to feel totally alone. He wasn’t sure if he could ask questions on the church but also didn’t want to leave the church. He felt lost and confused.

We're stoked to be joined by Spencer Schmidt as he shares his musical journey with us! Spencer shares his story of feeling deeply inspired to devote more attention to his musical interests. Spencer comes from a musical household, his dad being Jon Schmidt of the Piano Guys, so music has always been a powerful tool in his life. After losing his sister in a hiking accident, Spencer recalled the music that was of most interest to her and decided it was that genre in which he wanted to pursue his work.

David Douglas shares his story of conversion as a teenager living in Florida. His story is so powerful! David talks about praying to know if God was real. Shortly after his prayer, he fell asleep and had a unique dream. Little did he know that his dream would come back to his mind years later and verify the spirit he was feeling!! At age 15, David wanted to prioritize God in his life. He had attended different churches but finally felt a pull to the LDS Church after speaking with a friend who talked about the priesthood. David's story doesn't end there!

Lizzie and Nate Cottrell share their heartbreaking journey of pregnancy complications, infant loss, and finding faith in Jesus. They discuss the challenges of caring for their surviving son on a ventilator. The couple highlights the importance of support and how they found strength in their faith amidst the trials.

Historian Matthew Godfrey discusses John C Bennett's controversial role in LDS history, from his initial praise of Joseph Smith to his betrayal. Bennett's varied career, popularity in Nauvoo, and involvement in scandalous accusations against Smith are explored, shedding light on the intricacies of church history.

Cecilia shares her story of faith, trials, miracles, and happiness. She talks about how she went through many mental health issues and couldn't seem to find a way out of her difficulties. She grew up in very difficult circumstances and constantly found herself falling back into such difficulties. Finally Cecilia decided to pray to God for help. Shortly after, she saw missionaries and knew that God put them in her path for a reason.

Today we had a very unique opportunity to talk to a service missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church). Austin is the cream of the crop, as you'll soon see! Austin was called to a service mission in 2019. He always dreamed of serving a mission, particularly a mission on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. In this episode, Austin talks about what a service mission is like and his experience in the LDS Church.

Jon Schmidt, famous pianist and member of The Piano Guys, joined us on Saints Unscripted today to share his experiences with music, faith, and family. Jon talks about his process in writing music, where he generates ideas for his music, what it's like to be a member of the Piano Guys, and how his family has been fundamental to his career. Jon Schmidt is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ (otherwise known as the LDS Church or Mormon Church) and shares his faith without hesitation on his platforms.
