Today we are talking about the different branches of Mormonism. While the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is formally called such, it is often referred to as Mormonism. We ask to be called by the proper name, though we know that we've long been known as Mormons. Our religion started with Joseph Smith but then many different sects broke off from the original church (many claiming to be the original church). We certainly believe in freedom of religion, including different sects of Mormonism, but we also don't support all the different beliefs found within the different sects of Mormonism. It's finally GENERAL CONFERENCE SEASON!! Okay, the semi-annual General Conference actually happened last weekend... but it's so important to reflect on, no matter how much time has passed :) In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church), leaders address the entire world from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The talks (sermons) are transmitted via internet and can be viewed on YouTube or the LDS Church website. We are SO EXCITED to be reunited with Mimi! Mimi was a host for Saints Unscripted and was such a blessing to have on the show. We were stoked when we learned that she was back in Utah and available to film about her experience being on set of the Book of Mormon shows being filmed this last summer. Kaitlyn's baby is coming SO SOON and we are STOKED! While we are very excited for Kaitlyn to be a mom, we're almost as excited to find out what the baby will be named ;) If you know much about Utah or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as Mormons), you probably know about the wild names that parents in these groups name their children.
