In this episode, we talk about how we spent four enjoyable days in this coastal city in north western Galicia. We did a walking tour that really helped us understand the city, found what we think is the best tapas area, with fantastic food, great atmosphere and very reasonable prices, and spent plenty of time just wandering. It is a very unusual Spanish city and we explain why in the podcast.We also walked part of the longest seaside promenade in Europe and visited the Tower of Hercules, the oldest Roman built lighthouse in the world that is still working today. This week we are taking you to Palma de Mallorca. We had 5 days exploring this city and we tell you all about it so you can plan your perfect trip to this Balearic Island.  We cover where to stay - away from tourist areas, but close to city, the easiest and cheapest way to get around, the best day trips including magical boat trips, hikes with views to die for and the most charming medieval village high in the mountains full of cute cobblestone streets. Of course, we couldn’t do a podcast about Palma de Mallorca without giving you all the information about the Mallorca Cathedral. We did a lot of exploring on foot, local bus, day trips and we also chilled out a lot around our fabulous accommodation and swam in the amazing Mediterranean ocean. In this episode, we’re taking you to one of our favourite spots in Spain - Port de Sóller, on the gorgeous island of Mallorca. This little seaside town is all about relaxed vibes, pretty views, and soaking up the sunshine. We spent five nights here, right on the beachfront, in what we think might just be the best accommodation in town, complete with a rooftop terrace and the most incredible views over the bay. We’ll share all the highlights from our stay: strolls along the palm-lined promenade, lazy days on the beach and the scenic tram ride to the nearby village of Sólle with its pretty architecture amazing cathedral and cobblestone streets. One of our best days was a boat trip along the dramatic coastline, stopping to swim in hidden coves, explore a sea cave, and visit the stunning Sa Calobra beach tucked between towering cliffs. And of course, we’ll talk food - like our sunset dinner at Patiki Beach Bar with seasonal, organic dishes right by the water, and a seafood feast at Kingfisher Restaurant overlooking the marina.
