UK industrial history class is in session. Drew McDowall sat down with us for a long candid discussion covering his entire history. In Conversation with Kristian Olsson (part 1)

It was a honor to speak with Kristian Olsson to have a very deep discussion on not only his history, but his thoughts and philosophy on the underground. Our talk demanded it to be a two-parter, so for this first part, we go over Kristian’s early days, starting Survival Unit, connecting and working with Blood ov Thee Christ, and the newly announced Survival Unit/Grey Wolves collaboration tape. In next week’s episode, we get into Alfarmania and so much more. These episodes are highly important history lessons and ones that are not to be missed. For the ExtraNoisextra segment on our patreon, Kristian talks about Kommando RJF and the importance of Roger Karmanik. This 20 minute segment immediately follows the Blood ov Thee Christ story on the patreon feed. Studio Reorganization

Mike and Tara desperately needed to re-organize their studio, so why not make an episode out of it? Mike and Tara walk Greh thru the process, how bad Mike is at storing cables, all the unnecessary stuff that has been kept and so much more. Let this be an inspiration to get your studio in gear for a noise summer. For the ExtraNoisextra segment, instead of extra audio, we made a video of the before, middle and after of the reorganization day. Head to the patreon to see what the Connellys accomplished. Joachim Nordwall of Ideal Recordings and previously Börft Records joins us today. Joachim has had boots on the ground since he was 13 years old with no end in sight. Ideal celebrates its 25th year this year, so it was a perfect time to get into Joachim’s history. For the extra-long ExtraNoisextra segment on the patreon, Greh and Joachim go deeper into Börft and some of the artists he worked with early on. Thirdorgan – Jinzoningen

With the full NWN/Hospital Japan Fest line up announced, we go all in on Thirdorgan, the cyborg of night two. “Jinzoningen” is Thirdorgan’s 1998 LP on Harbinger Sound. We answer the questions posed in the track titles. We prepare for the dystopian future where Hakaider and Loch Ness Monster will lead us to new lands. Thirdorgan is the harshest of them all, and this LP showcases exactly why. Do you believe? For the ExtraNoisextra on the patreon, Mike discusses touring with Steve Underwood, the man behind Harbinger Sound. In addition, Tara talks about Steve almost taking out her eye with a 7” spindle. Haus Arafna – Children of God

Continuing with our look at classic albums of the past, we enter a world that is very close to Greh’s heart. Haus Arafna’s “Children of God” is a unique record in their own lane of industrial. Self-called “angst pop,” we get into the structured noise of this long running German project. Tune in for some electronic terrorism. For the ExtraNoisextra segment on the patreon, we discuss the Galakthorrö label and why it is a standout among labels of a similar ilk.
