D grew up in the heart of Baltimore’s drug game and has made it his life’s work to speak to his experiences including his interactions with police. He’s written 4 best selling books: The Beastside: Living (and Dying) While Black in America, The Cook Up: A Crack Rock Memoir, We Speak For Ourselves, and Where Tomorrow's Aren't Promised. Jon first got into contact with D after reading his article BALTIMORE’S MOST HATED COP AND ME. D is currently breaking into TV writing and producing, and just wrapped up a mini series set in Baltimore that Jon is starring in.
