Signed on April 10th, 1998, the Good Friday Agreement was then and remains a remarkable achievement and brought an end to 30 years of conflict in the North. But while Northern Ireland has made significant progress towards greater prosperity, and a safer and more inclusive society since then, its future, now more so than ever, remains uncertain. Jonathan Powell, Chief of Staff to Tony Blair from 1997 to 2007 and who was on his negotiating team during the Good Friday negotiations, joins Anton to discuss.

Yesterday Enoch Burke arrived at the Four Courts after sending a “big long email”, according to Mr. Justice Alex Owens, in which he alleged that he was denied a fair trial. To take a look back at how we got to this point in proceedings is Newstalk and Today FM Courts Correspondent, Frank Greaney.

This week the 'World Congress on Brain Injury' is taking place in Dublin. Around 19,000 people in Ireland acquire a brain injury each year, and one of those leading the discussions on the latest rehabilitation, treatments, and management of the condition is Dr. Brian Waldron, President of the World Congress on Brain Injury and also the Principal Clinical Neuropsychologist at Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. He joins Anton to discuss as well as Niamh Cahill, who is a brain injury survivor.

After last week’s disappointing 31-5 defeat in Wales, Ireland’s Women’s Six Nations team faces a formidable France in Musgrave Park later on today. Fiona Hayes, former Ireland international, joins Anton to preview the game.
