Happy November!Today we're talking about the Mystery Cult of the Egyptian Goddess Isis that was prominent throughout Egypt and you guessed it - Rome!We dive into who Isis actually is - she's a goddess of many names and we talk about why her cultic worship was formed in Rome, who was initiated and why did the Romans allow a cult for an Egyptian Goddess? Plot twist... The Romans were skeptical but the people of Rome were too afraid to take down her temple - fearing they might anger her. This mystery cult was large and has a huge following of both men and women alike!
