Autobiographical Sketch of Hanserd Knollys | Particular Pilgrims
Hanserd Knollys wrote an autobiographical summary of his life, he did this at the age of 63 when he thought his death was near. He had lost several family members in years prior, including his wife. In it he lists a number of experiences that had impressed the power, grace, and love of God on his mind during his wife.

1689 3:3-5 The Doctrine of Election | Confessing the Faith
The biblical doctrine of election as an act of selection presupposes and implies an act of rejection.
Did not God simply elect those whom he foresaw would repent, believe, be receptive, be holy or persevere? Did God elect only nations or groups? i.e. Does Rom. 9 have only to do with the election of nations. Did God simply choose the church as a whole?
