Trans World AIDS Day

 This World AIDS Day, Imara reflects on the millions of lives lost to HIV-related illness and the ongoing fight against this epidemic within the trans community. First, she speaks to HIV health equity leader Tori Cooper about her decades of advocacy for more inclusive and effective policy. They discuss her early experiences with HIV in the 1970’s, her recent groundbreaking appointment to the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) and strategies for an effective end to HIV. Amidst this sea of misinformation and erasure, Imara talks with two experts about the disease’s spread and its impacts on our community.
