Despite Michigan football having unexpectedly beaten the former No. 11 team in the country, USC, there are many maize and blue faithful who are already losing faith, because new starting quarterback Alex Orji only passed for 32 yards on Saturday. Yet, that was by design! Michigan Wolverines defeated USC Trojans 24-27 as Kalel Mullings scored the game-winning touchdown with under a minute to play. Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore said postgame how proud he is of the physical brand of football the Michigan Wolverines play. Alex Orgi did not have a great game passing, but was able to lead the game winning touchdown drive with under a minute to play. USC quarterback Miller Moss threw for three touchdowns but had a costly interception by Will Johnson who took it back for the touchdown.
