Day 9 and we hear from a former player from the days of the South Western League as Mark "Nanny" Nancarrow recounts some memories for the  CORNISH SOCCER podcast. Mark has gone for "Five Former Players" who were all good friends and team-mates of him and by the sounds of it, also great characters! Day 8 and a great choice by Robbie - "Unsung Heroes"! Robbie has been involved in the local game as a supporter, player and manager and knows just how much is involved in keeping clubs afloat and is the first to admit that without the people behind the scenes, clubs just wouldn't survive. As well as his main five, he also throws in a few more names along the way who deserve the thanks and acknowledgements from many clubs around the county. Thanks Robbie.   

Onto Day 7 of our "Favourite Five" collections and this time it's the turn of John Peters. John has decided to tell us about his "Five Favourite Coaches" that have impressed and inspired him. John, who hails originally from Camborne, also touches on some young players that, but for possibly not having the luck, could well have made at the professional level. Day 6 of the "Favourite Five" collection and today's it's the turn of goalkeeper Sam Borthwick, who also happens to be the player/manager of the Callington Town’s SWPL side. As he's been at the East Cornwall based club now for about 6 seasons, he's well qualified to be able to choose his "5 Favourite Callington Town moments". Yet again, many thanks for volunteering.

Here's another collection of memories.  On Day 5 of this series, avid life-long St Austell supporter, Gareth Rowett, recalls his Favourite Five St Austell FC matches that will stay with him forever. Gareth has followed the Lillywhites as a young boy, as the local Sports Reporter for the St Austell Voice newspaper, as the club's Programme Editor and most importantly as a lifetime fan of his home town club. Many thanks Gareth for sharing these special moments.

It's Day 4 of our Favourite Five collection and the theme chosen by the current AFC St Austell Reserves manager, Mark Smith, is Cornish Football Legends. Mark's based his choice on players that he has watched and who have left a bit of an influence on him.
