Episode 31: Ministry Burnout, Depression, Anxiety and Really Getting to Know Jesus
Mike’s guest on this episode is someone who has been on mission to make disciples and grow the church all of his adult life. His name is Tony Plummer, and along with his wife Lisa, they live and minister in Venice, FL. Tony is here to encourage all of us to keep going in the ministry God has called us to. His story - which is still being written - is one of high highs and some pretty low lows. In the early 2000s, Tony had what he describes as a "complete breakdown" as a result of ministry burnout, depression, and anxiety that sidelined him for over a year. All of this led him to the realization that he didn't really know Jesus like he thought he did. He's here to share what he has learned - and is still learning - through all of this. So, if you're on mission - whether in your neighborhood, with friends or co-workers, or at your church, then this conversation about how to deal with and even avoid ministry burnout will be so important. www.3dmovements.com

Episode 30: Incarnational Living in the Most Unexpected Place
Gina is on a well-deserved mini sabbatical, so Mike Potter fills in as the host with his guest, Jesse Harden. Jesse has quite a story to tell. He and his wife, Joanna, are people who listen to the Lord and seek to follow His leading in their lives. This listening and following has led to quite an adventure - an adventure full of fruit, and an adventure full of hurdles too. Jesse served as a youth and associate pastor in Albuquerque, NM for 12 years, and during that time began to sense the Lord calling him and his family to move into the roughest section of an already rough city. Jesse is here to tell the story of what happened when he sensed God calling him to leave his traditional church ministry position, move to an area of town referred to by many as the "war zone," and live and minister there with his wife and kids. www.3dmovements.com

Episode 29: On Mission in a Small Town (Part 2)
This podcast is just over a year old, and one of our most popular episodes so far was a discussion Gina had about living on mission in a small town setting (Episode 9). So, we decided to do another episode about being on mission in a small town, but this time with pastor and professor Jason McConnell. And if there was ever a guy to talk about this topic - it's Jason! He has a B.A. in pastoral ministry from Moody Bible Institute, an M.Div. and Th.M. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and (get this!), he has a D. Min. in rural ministry from Beeson Divinity School! Jason and his family are small town residents, and he is a small-town missional practitioner there pastoring two small churches. www.3dmovements.com

Episode 28: A Look Behind the Mic
The Everyday Mission Podcast is officially one year old as we launched our first episode in January of 2022. As we move into our second year, we thought it would be fun to begin by giving you a look behind the mic at the two people who make this podcast happen. On this episode, host Gina Mueller and editor and producer Mike Potter sit down together to share stories of how God has been and continues to lead them in their everyday lives. Gina is the North American Director of 3DM, but she's also an everyday wife, mom, church-planter, disciple of Jesus and a disciple-maker. Mike is the pastor of Foothills Fellowship in Albuquerque, NM, but he's also an everyday husband, dad, grandfather, follower of Jesus, and an audiophile (you might have to look that word up - but just know that it's not a bad thing!). www.3dmovements.com

Episode 26: Getting to Know the Real Jesus (Part 1)
What does archaeology have to do with discipleship? And even more, what does archaeology have to do with the everyday mission that everyday people are called to by Christ? He's also an author, teacher, and archaeological guide with over 30 years’ experience leading groups on archaeological and spiritual journeys in the Middle East. Episode 24: 3DM Discipleship School: An Inside Look
On this episode, Gina is joined by Marika Springer and Brittney Bowers who are two of the women who are students in our 3DM Discipleship School. Both have committed to taking ten months out of their lives to press-in to discipleship and mission, and both have given up a lot to do it - jobs, family, friends, and one even sold her home! But as you will hear, they both say it's worth it!Gina is catching them as they are completing the first of four stages of the Discipleship School and preparing to move-on from Maine to make their way to Indiana. They'll then go to California and finish in Lima, Peru. Ten months in all with immersion into four of our 3DM missional contexts. What they're learning and experiencing and what they'll share with us on this episode are valuable and practical discipleship and mission tools and practices.

Episode 22: Gathered and Scattered
Gina's guest is Pastor Dan Koller who is leading a church "revitalization" process in Yakima, Washington that is using both the gathered and scattered expressions of the church to move forward in discipleship and disciple-making. Dan joins Gina to talk about the struggle that many church people are experiencing - especially those who have caught the vision to make disciples who are now wondering if there is any real discipleship value in the gathered expression of the church (i.e. Sunday morning worship). Many are tempted to consider that the scattered approach of doing church (like missional communities, micro-churches, and home churches) is the better way. Dan believes that both approaches are effective, needed, and beneficial for discipleship and disciple-making, and he's here to explain why he believes this and how his church is using both approaches. Episode 21: Engaging in Spiritual Conversations
Jesus made it clear that we are to be His witnesses wherever we are to whomever we are around. His final words to His disciples recorded in Acts 1 say as much - and these words apply to His disciples today as well. The question then becomes: How do we gauge how well we're doing as His witness? For sure, we know that part of that answer lies in our actions and in our love for others, but we all know that our conversations play an important part in our witness as well -and this is where many of us struggle. What do we say to others to bear witness to Christ in our lives without coming across as trite, as rehearsed, or even worse, as overbearing? Gina's guest today is here to help! Alyssa Tocci is a mom and pastor of a house church network in Boston. She's here to talk about how she and her husband engage in intentional yet very natural spiritual conversations with their neighbors, and she offers us some really helpful ideas on how we can do this ourselves.FEATURED RESOURCE: New Fall Learning Communities https://www.3dmovements.com/l-c
