Morgan Ensberg - Former MLB All-Star on placing control in God's hands and leading with actions not words
Morgan Ensberg is a former MLB player who was selected in the 9th round of the 1998 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros. He made his MLB debut on September 20, 2000 with Houston and would go on to have an eight-year MLB career with the Astros, Padres and Yankees. In 2005, he was named the All-Star team and led the Astros to the World Series, hitting .283 with 36 home runs and 101 RBI.
After retirement, Ensberg went into coaching and is currently the manager of the Rays AAA affiliate Durham Bulls.
Today on the podcast, Morgan Ensberg shares with us his journey of baseball, faith, the moment he had to cry out to God in 2000, placing control of his life into God's hands and sharing his faith as a coach.

Lyza Bosselmann - Washington Spirit NWSL Goal Keeper on peace, trust and finding a foundation in Christ
Lyza Bosselmann is a professional soccer player with the Washington Spirit in the NWSL. In college at Gonzaga, she was the WCC Goalkeeper of the Year in 2022-23 and an All-WCC First-Team selection.
Over four years at Gonzaga, she allowed the fewest number of goals (47) in program history and was selected 28th overall in the 2023 NWSL College Draft by the Spirit.

Bart Millard - MercyMe singer on 30 years of MercyMe, the joy and disappointment of being a sports fan
Bart Millard is the lead singer of the legendary Christian rock band MercyMe. Founded in 1994, the band has released 11 studio albums and had 13 consecutive top-five singles on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. Its latest album, “Always Only Jesus,” released in 2022.
Millard’s life was depicted in the 2018 movie “I Can Only Imagine,” in which actor Dennis Quaid starred as his father who struggled with addiction and violence before coming to faith before his death from cancer.
Today on the podcast, Bart Millard discusses his experience seeing the Texas Rangers win the World Series, the rollercoaster of being a Dallas Cowboys fan, and the bond between sports and family. He also talks about his son Sam’s music career and MercyMe’s longevity in the music industry. Bart shares his perspective on balancing touring and making new music, as well as maintaining a relationship with Christ in the midst of a busy schedule.

Tony Beasley - Texas Rangers coach on winning the World Series, trusting God in trials and representing Jesus in baseball
Tony Beasley is the third base coach of the Texas Rangers. Originally selected in the 19th round of the 1989 MLB Draft as a player, Beasley played 10 seasons of minor-league ball from 1989-1998, making two Carolina League All-Star teams, but he never made it to the major leagues.
After retiring from playing, Beasley went into coaching and achieved his MLB dream by becoming a coach with the Washington Nationals under manager Frank Robinson. After spending four seasons in Washington, Beasley moved to the Pirates organization. In 2015, he was named to his current role with the Rangers. In February 2016, Beasley was diagnosed with rectal cancer, forcing him to miss the start of the 2016 season. He was declared cancer-free in December 2016.

Kenny Bayless - Boxing referee on overcoming cancer, giving his life to Christ and his famous catchphrase
Kenny Bayless is a former boxing referee who has been the third man in the ring for over 100 title fights. He was inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame in 2014 and the National Boxing Hall of Fame (with his twin brother Kermit) in 2023.
Bayless has officiated many notable fights including Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquiao in 2015 and Deontae Wilder/Tyson Fury II in 2020. He is most known for his famous catchphrase "What I say you must obey" when giving fighters instruction before the fight.

Steele Johnson won the silver medal with David Boudia in the men’s 10 m synchronized platform diving competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He is a six-time senior national champion with USA Diving and was a two-time All-American diver in college at Purdue.
