Nestor Ceja is a Major League Baseball umpire. After going through the MLB Training Academy, he worked his way through the minor leagues before making his MLB debut in August of 2020 during the shortened COVID season. In 2024, Ceja was one of seven umpires to be a part of the MLB All-Star Game. He also called his first postseason game in the NL Wild Card series between San Diego and Atlanta.Today on the podcast, Nestor Ceja discusses his upbringing in a Catholic family, his path to becoming an umpire, and the pivotal moments that led him to accept Christ. He reflects on the challenges of being an umpire, the importance of maintaining his faith amidst the pressures of the job, and the providence of God in his life. Matt Holliday played 15 seasons in the big leagues with the Rockies, A’s, Cardinals and Yankees. He is a seven-time MLB All-Star, a 2011 World Series champion and a 2007 NLCS MVP.Jackson Holliday is an infielder with the Baltimore Orioles. He was selected number one overall by Baltimore in the 2022 MLB Amateur Draft. He made his MLB debut in April of 2024.Ethan Holliday is a high school senior at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
