The modern marketplace has a perspective that is far from Biblical when it comes to investments. This is primarily because the hearts of people today are largely controlled by greed. But what does the Bible have to say about investments, and investing wisely? Is it necessarily all tied to monetary gain and benefits? Anything we do for Jesus counts for eternity . . . and any investment is worth it if we have an opportunity to trade something temporal to gain an eternal return.

A recent study shows that, worldwide, most people are spending an average of nearly seven hours on their screens each day. How can Christians combat this in their life? How can we cultivate good habits and get rid of bad habits? If we belong to God, we need to act like it, redeem our time, and spend time building relationships, working diligently, and seeking to learn more about God and His eternal wisdom.

Many Christians have become enthralled with some of the humanistic teachings of men like Aristotle, Hemingway, Mark Twain, etc. Thomas Aquinas had a similar view of Aristotle, and took a strong liking to his teachings, quoting Aristotle more than he quoted the Bible in his writings. On this edition of Generations, Kevin Swanson interviews Jeff Johnson, a pastor, concerning the importance of building our foundations on God and His Word, and rejecting humanism.

The Bible encourages us to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” What does this look like for the average dad? In this segment of “Discipleship for Dads,” we take a look at practical ways in which dads can focus on managing their time to the glory of God. How can we balance work, family, and “me-time?” Is “me-time” something we should be concerned with? How important is the time we spend with our kids? Do we even like being with our children and our wife?

Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack discuss the importance of a father figure in the lives of boys. Men who never had a father figure won't take responsibility for their own children and families. This leads to a world of men like Andrew Tate, rooted in self-love, anger, and apathy. Christian men should be pro-life, pro-family, and pro-biblical sexuality in every way, shape, and form.

There are now 8,500 women in combat roles in the US army, and 600 women in similar positions in the US marines. The gender confusion of today ultimately stems from gender role confusion and the feminist movement of the 1960s. God has set boundaries for each gender, and removing those only leads to disaster. So where do we go from here? The key is to get back to Biblical definitions of God’s roles for both men and women.

The Department of Education is cutting 50 percent of its workforce. This is a good step towards elimination of state control over the education of our children; however, will this lead to a complete end, or will this progress plateau? Education is one of the places where the war of ideas burns the hottest, and every parent should be deeply involved in their child's education. It isn't enough to hand your children over to the government to be raised. Christian parents need to take a stand against all state control over education.

The destructive, evil nature of anger is particularly evident in children who are captivated by the angry spirit well into their teenage years. Whether it be the screaming, hitting, spitting, explosive sort, or more of the sullen silence, the biting sarcasm, and cold looks - anger can destroy a home. More and more church attendees are leaving the church, with Baptists and Presbyterians losing a percentage over the past several years. Has it been helpful to water down the gospel in order to appeal to the world, or is the American church now paying the price? If churches and families don't disciple and ground their disciples in Biblical theology, it will all fall apart, and that's what we're seeing now.
