1895: Creating Open and Positive Cultures Comprised of Integrity and Trust with Jared Pope Founder and Owner of Work Shield LLC
Jared Pope is the CEO and founder of Work Shield. While practicing law focused on human resources, ERISA, benefits, and employment matters, Jared realized industry-standard practices and the "system" for managing workplace harassment and discrimination were broken. Despite using outside reporting platforms, internal incident investigations meant employees were not reporting incidents due to fear of retaliation, and employers were not protecting their culture or themselves from the risk of legal action. Always ready for a challenge, Jared decided to make the system better, where voices are truly heard and incidents have a clear path to resolution. Jared created Work Shield - the first and only start-to-finish workplace harassment and discrimination solution and technology platform that gives employees a real voice, protects and ensures a safe workplace culture, and removes employer liability - all at the same time “trust your gut and if you believe in yourself you have got to trust your gut. I assume any entrepreneur doesn’t start company because they don’t believe in themselves it’s because they do and you have to remember you have an idea and it’s okay that if it doesn’t work let the market tell you what’s good about it, what’s wrong about it, how do you need to tweak it, what’s the next iteration. But trust your gut. And no one is going to know your product better than you… And you can learn more from other people and adapt it to your knowledge but there is this intuitiveness of a gut check. And trust your gut, go with your gut and bet on yourself”…[Listen for More] Click Here for Show Notes To Listen or to Get the Show Notes go to https://wp.me/p6Tf4b-h7Z

1892: Going into the Silence and Being Introspective Is so Critical to Success with James Jacobson Founder and Owner of Dog Podcast Network
James Jacobson has founded several companies and is a serial entrepreneur whose career has primarily been focused in the media arena since graduating from the University of Virginia in 1988. Currently James is building Dog Podcast Network. In the past several years, James has been putting his attention on a promising cancer therapeutic company he co-founded with Dr. Demian Dressler in 2008 called Functional Nutriments. James Jacobson has been described as both “a serial entrepreneur” and as a “monk in the marketplace.” He has authored best-selling books, been a broadcaster and built businesses that leveraged new trends that were sometimes considered “just a little ahead of their time.” The overarching theme of his career has been building ventures that make a meaningful difference in the lives of as many people as possible. For over 20 years, that took the form of creating projects and companies that leveraged the power of media including teleproduction, radio, publishing and, the Internet. Since 2008, James Jacobson’s focus has been on Functional Nutriments, a biotech company that has developed and brought to market first-in-class nutraceuticals that induce and support apoptosis. Apoptosis is a critical biological life process that is encoded in the DNA; and the absence of normal levels of apoptosis is linked to serious diseases including cancer. Businesses that he developed, founded or helped co-found include a video yearbook company, a teleproduction and video marketing company, a talk radio station, a cable TV network, an e-commerce company, a magazine publisher, a book publisher, and a biotech nutraceutical firm. His author credits include "How to Meditate with Your Dog" and the best-selling series "Top Maui Restaurants" which he co-authored with his wife, Molly Jacobson. “do what you love, be passionate about what you love and don’t do it for the money. If you love money don’t be an entrepreneur be a salesperson… If you are going to dedicate your life and your blood and your sweat and your tears and your shower time and endanger relationships should be for something that you really, really love. And I think that’s so critical and I think sometimes especially at the beginning of someone’s entrepreneurial journey they are just looking to make the quick buck that usually… I won’t say never… That usually doesn’t work out in the long-term and it certainly doesn’t pay the psychic dividends that will feed you when you come across adverse”…[Listen for More] Click Here for Show Notes To Listen or to Get the Show Notes go to https://wp.me/p6Tf4b-giv
