Tough Questions from Teenagers Mufti Abdur-Rahman starts the talk off with some simple yet practical advice to both parents and children and then answer a series of difficult questions from teenagers that attended on the day.

"Whoever worships Him for something he hopes for from Him, or in order to stave off the arrival of chastisement, he has not concerned himself with the real nature of His Attributes". An intricate discussion in which the Shaykh explains three categories of people in how they worship Allah Most High, which group is the most superior and why. " Far be it for our Lord to repay us with credit the Servant who deals with Him in cash". How does Allah repay us in this world? Without doubt the doers of good have been promised reward and eternal bliss in the life to come. However, the benevolence and graciousness of Allah is not only restricted to the Hereafter. The Shaykh mentions the numerous ways Allah repays His believing righteous servants in this world.

Let not obedience make you joyous because it comes from you, rather, be joyous over it because it comes from God to you. "Say: In the grace of God and in His mercy, in that they should rejoice. It is better than that which they hoard". [Q.10:58] [Hikam 58] How to balance the feeling of joy when one carries out good deeds, all the while expressing gratitude and acknowledging Allah Most High is the enabler. The following talk gives an understanding on how to balance both these aspects.

A reminder for the seeker to keep sincere and self-examine their motives for spiritual success. "Travel not from creature to creature, otherwise you will be like a donkey at the mill: roundabout he turns, his goal the same as his departure. Rather, go from creatures to the Creator: "And that the final end is unto thy Lord." [Quran 53:42] "Therefore, he whose flight is for God and His Messenger, then his flight is for God and His Messenger; and he whose flight is for worldly gain or marriage with a woman, then his flight is for that which he flees to." So understand his words (upon him peace!) and ponder this matter, if you can. And peace on you!." (Hikam 42)
