Episode #189: Where was Atlantis
Tony joins us this week to revisit the topic of Atlantis. This time we look at the details of the city and civilization itself, and the many possible places and times people have theorized it may have existed. Was it an antediluvian civilization, or might it have existed much more recently, in the bronze age? Was it somewhere in the Atlantic ocean, or in another body of water? We look at Morocco, Malta, Richat, Azores, Bolivia, and many other places. Possibly, as with so many of these ancient mysteries, we will never really know. Episode #188: UnchartedX Swapcast - Ollantaytambo
We return to our series of video swapcasts with Ben from UnchartedX, this time to look at Ollantaytambo, the Coricancha, and a site known as "The Temple of the Moon" in Peru. As always, Ben's footage is excellent, and we spend much of the show discussing details of the strange, rock-cut and apparently heavily damaged stonework, as well as the enigmatic megalithic work of Ollantaytambo and the Coricancha. So little is known about the origins of these sites and structures, that all we can do is observe the details, ask questions, and wonder. Episode #187: Listener Communications
This week's winter storm that came through Texas put everything on hold, including our podcast schedule, as we were iced in and the power was flickering on and off. Finally, on Friday, the snow and ice started to thaw, and we were able to get in the studio to record a show. This is a correspondence show, since we had nothing else planned. Great emails from everyone, and they spark some interesting discussions. Brothers of the Serpent Episode 187 If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element

Episode #186: UFOs - Part 4 - The Others
We are joined in-studio once again by Marty Garza to continue our discussion on the topic of UFOs, aliens, extraterrestrials, spiritual/interdimensional beings, and the incredibly varied and strange nature of this phenomenon. As usual, Marty has done a ton of research and prepared copious notes for the show, and he guides us through multiple encounter stories from the military and civilians. For a while we focus on "USO" reports, or Unidentified Submerged Objects, also known as "Trans-medium vehicles", as they seem to operate as well in the water as out of it. We look at some of the stranger aspects of "Skinwalker Ranch", and how the phenomena there seemed to range from entity sightings, to UFOs, flying orbs, cattle mutilations, voices, ghosts, and "demons". Marty then takes the show in an interesting direction, looking at Gnostic, Hermetic, and old Christian considerations of "daimons" as beings both physical and non-physical, good and evil, existing at the periphery of perception. We wrap up the discussion with talk about what the possible limits are, if any, to "technological advancement", as well as the breadth of possible configurations of life in the universe, and/or in "other universes" that may touch ours in certain ways, or perhaps in certain places....places that have been considered "sacred" since before recorded history. Episode #185: UnchartedX Swapcast - Sacsayhuaman
For our third installment in the series of swapcasts we are doing with Ben from UnchartedX, we are joined by Matt from the excellent Ancient Architects YouTube channel. The four of us take a look at Ben's raw footage of the amazing and mysterious megalithic site of Sacsayhuaman in Peru, as well as the remains of beautiful megalithic, polygonal, "cyclopean" masonry in the city of Cuzco below.Unlike Egypt, there is far less information available about these sites, what their true origins are, who built them, and why. We ponder these questions, as well as the questions of how these sites were constructed, as they seem almost unbelievable in the details of the masonry....and yet there they stand. Someone did it. Who they were and how they did it are still mysteries. The video for this episode will be released on all of our YouTube channels, so stay tuned! Episode #184: Legends of the Shamir
Taking a break this week in the swapcast series we've been doing with Ben from UnchartedX, We take the time to respond to emails, which sparks some great discussion on the Serapeum and the pyramids and ancient, lost technology. We then turn to the legends of a particular lost object which we have spoken of before, the legendary Shamir, which was said to have been able to cut and shape stone with ease. In some cases the Shamir itself was said to be a stone, but also maybe a living creature, a worm of some kind, or perhaps an herb or some other plant. Whatever the Shamir was, it seems clear that some ancient people could work stone in ways that we do not understand in modern times. Episode #183: UnchartedX Swapcast - Khafre Pyramid
In our second swapcast in the series with Ben from UnchartedX, we are joined by Chuck, host of the excellent YouTube channel cf-apps7865. The four of us spend a couple of hours watching Ben's footage inside and around the "second great pyramid" at Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khafre. There are lots of fascinating details about this structure, which doesn't receive nearly as much attention as its nearby companion, the Great Pyramid. Ben shows us the tunnels beneath it, the chambers in the bedrock below it, the enormous amount of work the builders went through to cut a flat area from the bedrock in which to build it, and the line of granite rubble that surrounds the bottom of it, all that is left of the granite casing stones that used to cover the first few courses of core masonry. We also look at some other interesting features of the Giza plateau related to this pyramid, such as the Sphinx Causeway, the Valley Temple, and the megalithic "tile" stones that were used to make a flat surface around the pyramids. Episode #182: UnchartedX Swapcast - Serapeum
We join Ben from UnchartedX in the first of a series of swapcast episodes where we go through some of his amazing footage of ancient sites he's visited. In this episode we focus on the Serapeum of Saqqara in Egypt and the mystery of the massive, precision stone "boxes" in that site. How did they make them, what were they for, how did they move them into place through those small tunnels? How old are they really? We look at a lot of the little details in Ben's footage that shows us how deep the mystery of these artifacts really is. Since this is a visual episode, there will be video of the entire conversation that includes the clips Ben showed us. So look for that on our YouTube channel, or on Ben's. But we did our best to provide descriptions for audio listeners. Enjoy! Brothers of the Serpent Episode 182 If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element

Episode #181: Stellar Nucleosynthesis and Radiometric Dating
In this episode Russ gives a presentation, with slides, about the standard model processes that take place in stars to generate elements, how that process eventually results in novas and supernovas, and how supernovas and other similar very high energy events generate cosmic rays. When these cosmic rays hit earth, they result in "cosmogenic nuclides" like the radioactive Carbon 14 that is so often used to date material in archaeological settings. We also run through a short list of the most often used dating techniques, how they work, what the problems are, what the ranges are, and what the margins of error are. We also look at the various assumptions and methods and theory behind these techniques. As this was a slide show presentation, it may help to watch the video, so look for that on our youtube channel. Episode #180: Listener Communications (and some Dark Matter)
This is our final episode for 2020, and we streamed it live to the Discord, which is always fun. The Watcher was there, plus a lot of the Discord Snakeforce, trolling us non-stop in the chats while we recorded the episode. We had a lot of listener emails backed up, plus we had a "stack of stuff" that we hadn't yet gotten to on the show, so for this episode we go through all the emails and respond to them, plus we read some articles on possible alien signals being detected, the sun may be actually about to enter into a really powerful new solar cycle rather than a weak one, and a jeweler who uses ultrasonic tools that leave very similar marks on the stones he works, as what is often seen in Egypt, Peru, and other places with mysterious ancient stonework. In the last segment, Kyle talks about his renewed interest in the "search for dark matter" being undertaken by standard model physicists, what he is learning, what he hopes to learn, and what he thinks so far about what he is discovering. Dark matter, and dark energy, may be part of a resonant effect that permeates the entirety of the observable universe. See you all in 2021!
