Filipo Biondi and Armando Mei are the Italian scientists heading the project to scan the Giza Plateau with satellite-borne Scanning Aperture Radar(SAR). In this interview we discuss the technical aspects of the technology in an attempt to get a basic grasp of how it works. We also discuss the history of the technology, including the epxperiments and testing it underwent before being used at Giza.
