The Woman in White | Paranormal Podcast In this listener-submitted episode, we share three unsettling paranormal encounters sent in by our audience that range from dimensional displacement to possessed dolls. We start with Sophia's story from West Virginia in 2008, when she was just 10 years old and chased her normally calm dog, Chance, across the street—only to find herself completely transported to an unfamiliar place with nothing but grass in every direction and a single brick house she'd never seen before. Despite knowing her neighborhood like the back of her hand, Sophia suddenly couldn't recognize anything around her, and when her dog mysteriously reappeared and led her in a different direction, she eventually found herself returned to her frantic family who had been searching the entire neighborhood for her. Our second story comes from Charis and her grandmother in North Carolina, who dealt with a baby doll that continued crying and laughing despite having no batteries—until Charis hit it in frustration and muttered "stupid doll," causing every light and the TV to shut off instantaneously while the air grew thick and heavy. Throwback Files: Mothman | Paranormal Podcast Welcome to the Throwback Files on The Mothman! This new series will allow us to explore older episodes that some of you newer listeners may not have had a chance to hear. We will include thoughts on why we chose each particular episode, along with new comments at the end of the episode. We hope you enjoy this new monthly throwback Thursday special. The Mothman: Mothman is a legendary humanoid creature reportedly seen in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, between November 1966 and December 1967, described by witnesses as a seven-foot-tall figure with glowing red eyes and large wings that pursued vehicles while making screeching sounds. The phenomenon began when two couples reported encountering the creature near a former WWII munitions plant, sparking widespread media coverage and numerous additional sightings throughout the region. Following the December 15, 1967, collapse of the Silver Bridge and the death of 46 people,[16] the incident gave rise to the legend and connected the Mothman sightings to the bridge collapse. The Montauk Project | Paranormal Podcast In this episode, we dive deep into one of the most controversial conspiracy theories in paranormal history—the Montauk Project. We start by exploring the very real Camp Hero military base located on the easternmost tip of Long Island in Montauk, New York, which operated from World War II through the Cold War era. Originally disguised as a quaint fishing village to fool German U-boats, the base later housed a massive 90-foot radar tower that remains standing today as the only survivor of twelve similar installations. After the base was officially abandoned in 1981 and later transferred to the National Park Service, strange stories began to emerge. The Sallie House | Paranormal Podcast In this special Halloween live episode, we traveled to Atchison, Kansas to explore one of America's most infamous haunted houses—the Sallie House. We dive into the dark backstory dating back to 1905, when a desperate mother allegedly brought her six-year-old daughter to Dr. Charles Finney's home for emergency surgery. According to local lore, the doctor began operating on the girl's appendix before the anesthesia took effect, and she died on his operating table from blood loss. The Bear Demon This listener submission episode starts with Katrina from Alaska, who in December 2019 made the questionable decision to attempt summoning Paimon, one of the nine kings of hell. What followed were months of unsettling experiences—shadowy creatures darting between trees, an overwhelming sense of dread, and two disturbing encounters in the woods that left her disoriented and injured. Next, we hear from David in Wisconsin, who woke at 2:30am to the sound of rustling like a plastic bag in the wind, followed by an overwhelming wave of fear and the mental image of a beast snapping its jaws at him while he lay frozen in bed. The Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp In this episode, we dive deep into the swamps of South Carolina to explore the legendary Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp. We kick things off with the most famous encounter from 1988, when 17-year-old Christopher Davis was driving home from his McDonald's shift when his tire blew out near the swamp. What happened next became the stuff of local legend—a towering 7-8 foot tall creature with glowing red eyes, green scaly skin, and three-clawed fingers leaped onto his car as he desperately tried to escape. Davis's harrowing account, validated by a polygraph test and the local sheriff, sparked a media frenzy that drew everyone from Good Morning America to the Washington Post to this small South Carolina town. We explore multiple sightings from that intense summer of 1988, including terrified teenagers, mauled vehicles, mysterious three-toed footprints that baffled biologists, and even police officers who witnessed evidence firsthand.
