Melina Palmer is founder and CEO of The Brainy Business, which provides behavioral economics consulting to businesses of all sizes from around the world. Her podcast, The Brainy Business:Understanding the Psychology of Why People Buy, has downloads in over 160 countries and is used as a resource for teaching applied behavioral economics for many universities and businesses. Melina obtained her bachelor’s degree in business administration: marketing and worked in corporate marketing and brand strategy for over a decade before earning her master’s in behavioral economics. She has contributed research to the Association for Consumer Research, Filene Research Institute, and runs the Behavioral Economics & Business column for Inc Magazine. Jon Macaskill is a retired Navy SEAL Commander turned mindfulness and meditation teacher. He was born in South
Africa and moved with his parents and 4 siblings to the US when he was 7. He grew up in Ruston, Louisiana where he was an avid
track and cross country runner. After graduating high school, he served briefly as an enlisted sailor in the Navy before receiving an appointment to the US Naval Academy. He has his BS in Mathematics and MS in Operations Research. Jon has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, off the coast of Somalia, and in Panama. He serves as the Deputy Executive Director for Veteran’s PATH, a nonprofit organization that works to introduce meditation and mindfulness to veterans to bring them a sense of Peace, Acceptance,

and meditation to high performing teams to aid in dealing with stress, anxiety and depression all while increasing focus, creativity, and productivity.

Carlos is a keynote speaker, author, and organization development professional with over 30 years of experience supporting global corporations, including Mars, Inc., and IBM. He has written two books on teamwork: “Lessons from Mars: How One Global Company Cracked the Code on High Performance Collaboration and Teamwork”; and “Virtual Teams: Holding the Center When You Can’t Meet Face-to-Face.” Both books are based on original research Carlos conducted during his 17 years as an internal consultant at Mars, where he worked with iconic brands such as M&M’s, Snickers, and Wrigley’s gum.
Currently, Carlos is the Managing Principal of Corporate Collaboration Resources, LLC, an organization and group effectiveness consulting firm specializing in creating and sustaining cultures of collaboration.
