E29| Speaking Truth In Love - A Dialogue w/ Erick Godsey

A dialogue about burning away your bullshit to wake up to your fate. About the necessity and hazards of speaking truthfully... about love, stories, flow, Jungian insight, awe, psychedelics, and death. --- Erick Godsey is a human being I'm particularly glad exists. That's just how it is. I feel the intention he has to impact people and the world for the better. And I see a fragment (but a real fragment), of that intention actualise into bonafide artefacts you can interact with right now. In listening to or reading Erick's thoughts you'll find an evolving selection of psychological insight synthesised into bites that prompt genuine reflection and roadmaps for Self-directed growth. You can access a selection of these on his website: [https://www.erickgodsey.com] Most importantly, as far as I'm concerned, he endeavours to show up in authenticity and integrity. Read more @ https://wp.me/p2UC3z-pH --- *a note on Voiceclub conversations: these aren't interviews, and there are teething problems on the way to developing the creative interaction sought. These conversations won't always have Tim in them, but to the extent they do, he'll be in them.

E22| Psychedelics And The Future, With Melissa Warner

The psychedelic renaissance is well and truly underway throughout much of the world. It’s headlined by no small number of careful and well-meaning scientists from some of the world's most reputable institutions. But psychedelic use itself, of course, interwoven throughout the development of human culture for thousands of years, never really went away. It simply went underground, out of majority consciousness. As awareness of the unique properties of psychedelic compounds and the experiences they are famed for continues to grow, it is important that mature discussion take place regarding their nature, utility, and relevance for modern humanity. Such a discussion is one for the world to continue to grapple with over many years. Generally speaking, things left in the shadow too long tend to get restless. This podcast was recorded at an event titled Psychedelics & The Future.  I was joined by Executive Officer of Mind Medicine Australia, Melissa Warner. Mind Medicine Australia acts as the central node for the promotion of regulatory approved and research backed psychedelic medicines to assist with the treatment of mental health. Much of this conversation turned on the science of psychedelic medicines, their effect on the brain, and guidelines for therapeutic use. E20| Voiceclub Live - Finding Purpose In Modern Society, with Neville Christie

Neville Christie is an entrepreneur, innovator, venture capitalist, gestalt therapist, mentor, and urban shaman. 77 years young, Neville joins Tim for the first Voiceclub Live, held at Shifty’s bar on Brunswick st., Melbourne, Australia. In a wide ranging and personal conversation about creating purpose, the pair discuss the rock-solid reality that underlies tragedy — ground to stand on — upon which a life of purpose may be built. Neville outlines 6 central purposes to human life, two he calls givens, and four which are choice. The givens: a spiritual framework and the biological necessity to procreate. The choices: self-actualisation, loving connection, to create a better world, and the fourth he leaves unknown. Also discussed is the nature of shamanic experience, Neville’s own inner exploration of the psyche, the requisites of community finding, and much more. This live event was recorded on 11/12/2018. Many more will be held in 2018. Sign up to the mailing list @ voiceclub.com to make sure you're notified. Find the others. Watch the event @ https://youtu.be/c6cbQm3TdMw
