17 Media Ministry with Cole Hughes
Creative Media/IT Director Cole Hughes sits in as today's guest to share a little of his story and his role in the media ministry at FBC Durant. FBC Durant's media ministry began in 1983 and continues to leverage the use of technology for the sake of the gospel. A conversation on the intersection of creativity, faith, and work. 16 Hispanic Ministry with Guillermo Garcia
Our Hispanic Ministry Coordinator Guillermo Garcia joins the show to share his testimony and talk about our Hispanic Ministry. Guillermo is from Barquisimeto, Venezuela and served there as a minister for many years before moving to Durant. Our Hispanic Ministry exist as part of our church's mission and vision to glorify God and see every person, including Spanish speakers in our community, progress along the path to spiritual maturity. If you speak Spanish, we have a place for you to be around a church family that speaks your native language. We also offer live translation during our 11:15AM worship service every week which Guillermo refers to in this episode. 14 Discipleship with Jim Hodson
The third pillar of our discipleship pathway is discipleship. We long to see every person grow deeper in their understanding of the Scriptures and the Savior. Journey groups (J-groups) are our practice of doing this. J-groups are designed to move believers along the pathway of discipleship in very small, gender-specific groups over a specific time frame with a specific course of study. 09 Romans & Missional Living with the McMillans
Today we have Ryan and Brea McMillan, church planters with the International Mission Board in Berlin, Germany, join the show. Ryan and Brea are from southern Oklahoma and both graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. FBC Durant is currently engaging in mission trips to Berlin annually alongside the McMillans. In this episode, we focus on our third key truth in Romans - that is missional living. The McMillans share how the Lord called them to be missionaries and what it means to live intentionally.
