George Floyd Remembered and Honored in First Memorial Service
Family, friends and city leaders gathered to honor the life of George Floyd in Minneapolis, in his first memorial service. Reverend Al Sharpton delivered a eulogy Thursday, denouncing racism and calling for accountability in the criminal justice system. The event was the first in a series of memorial services to honor his life. The Minnesota attorney general announced all four former police officers involved in the 46-year-old's death have been charged. The announcement came more than a week after Floyd was killed in police custody. On Thursday, three of the former officers also appeared before a judge for their first court hearing. Their bail is now set at a minimum of $750,000.
Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of protestors took to the streets across the United States Thursday for the tenth day in a row. In Washington D.C., White House officials strengthened the security perimeter of the area. Crews extended a tall metal fence around the White house complex. In New York City, protestors marched across the Brooklyn Bridge with a police escort chanting "Peaceful Protests."
Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is defending Former Defense Secretary James Mattis. Mattis accused Trump of dividing instead of uniting the United States saying he was quote "making a mockery of our constitution." All Four Officers Now Charged In The Death Of George Floyd
Derek Chauvin's charge has been upgraded to second-degree murder. The three other police officers present at the time of George Floyd's death have been charged with aiding and abetting second degree murder. All four officers involved in Floyd's death charged "in the interest of justice" says Minnesota attorney general. Protests are underway as all four police officers are charged in Floyd's death.

Protests are underway across the United States over George Floyd's death
Mandatory curfews are set in New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and more cities as the United States braces for a possible eighth night of unrest in response to the death of George Floyd. Protestors are marching in New York City ahead of the cities 8 p.m. curfew. The 8 p.m. curfew in New York City has been extended for the rest of the week. The New York City mayor says to protest in the daytime and then go home. The New York Police Department commissioner said, "We will get through this together." A source says Attorney General Barr ordered authorities to clear protesters to secure a wider perimeter around Lafayette Park in Washington, D.C. George Floyd's family and friends take part in Houston march.
Former United States Vice President Joe Biden says, "Our country is crying out for leadership," in response to Trump's actions to current events. Biden also said, "I won't traffic in fear and division, I won't fan the flames of hate."

Nation Braces For Possible Seventh Night of George Floyd Protests
George Floyd's family attorney says a private autopsy shows Floyd died of asphyxiation at the hands of police. The attorney also says three other officers "need to be charged... they knew what they were doing could cause death." The medical examiner says George Floyd's death was a homicide resulting from being restrained. George Floyd's brother appeals for peaceful protests and the end to violence as he visits memorial , at the site of his brother's killing. The Minnesota attorney general says that history shows that Floyd's case may not be a "slam dunk."

Ex-Police Officer Charged With Murder In Death of George Floyd
A complaint says that Chauvin, an ex-police officer in Minneapolis, kneeled on Floyd's neck for almost nine minutes, including three minutes after he became unresponsive. George Floyd preliminary autopsy says that "no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation. Chauvin has been charged with third degree murder and manslaughter. The FBI is asking the public for photos or videos surrounding the death of George Floyd.
A CNN correspondent and crew were wrongfully arrested covering riots sparked by George Floyd's death. Minneapolis has imposed an 8 p.m. curfew through the weekend.

United States Is On Alert For Infection Spikes After States Reopen
The United States coronavirus death toll has surpassed 101,000 and the rate of new coronavirus cases are trending up across most of the South. A key model is projecting 132,000 United States coronavirus deaths by August. The recent projection is 11,000 fewer than the key model's previous forecast. A new model forecasts that more hospital beds will be needed by June. The Columbia Model says that hospitalizations will decrease for two weeks and then rise again, approaching 3,000 hospitalizations a day by June 22. Trump tweets his sympathies and stokes culture wars as death toll climbs.
Trump is claiming that there are "many different viewpoints" on wearing a mask despite the CDC guidelines. The New York governor is authorizing business to deny entry to those not wearing masks are face coverings. Dr. Fauci says that "you wear a mask" to "protect each other" and that wearing a mask is a symbol of what "you should be doing."

Wearing A Mask Is A Symbol Of What You Should Be Doing
As of today, new cases for coronavirus are trending up in 14 states, down in 19 and steady in 17 states. Locations of the trending up states include Arkansas, Alabama and West Virginia. Dr. Fauci says the country could see and uptick in cases as states reopen and effects may not be seen for several weeks. California becomes the fourth state with more than 100,000 coronavirus cases.
Long Island reopens, while New York City remains the only region in the state not included.
Caesars Palace to reopen June 4 and SeaWorld will reopen June 11. Disney World will reopen July 11.

The CDC is now saying that coronavirus antibody testing might be wrong half the time. As of now, the rate for new coronavirus cases are trending up in 17 states, down in 20 states and steady in 13 states. The World Health Organization is warming of a second surge in coronavirus. However, ten vaccine candidates are now in human trails.
After Trump has refused to wear a mask in front of media, Biden calls Trump "a fool" for mocking masks and then Biden accuses Trump of "stoking death" amid pandemic. Trump then mock Biden with a retweeted post of Biden wearing a mask on Twitter. The White House press secretary says it is "peculiar" that Biden would wear a mask outdoors but "not in his basement, right next to his wife." Trump is claiming that economic recovery and reopening is "ahead of schedule" as the United States coronavirus death toll climbs. Trump is also claiming, without evidence, that mail-in-voting is filled with fraud.
