Biden Campaigns in GA Senate Runoff as McConnell Acknowledges Him As President-Elect

President-elect Joe Biden is stumping for votes in Georgia in support of the Democratic candidates in the state's US Senate runoff election. He held a drive-in rally on Tuesday in Atlanta, early voting kicked off Monday.  Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has acknowledged Biden's 2020 presidential election win. McConnell chose Tuesday, the day after the Electoral College affirmed Biden's victory, to congratulate him.  A White House adviser, when asked about McConnell congratulating Biden responded saying quote, "you can't always get what you want. " The adviser referred to a song that was used to signal the end of President Trump's rallies. White House officials also say Trump is still involved in election litigation.  Across the United States, health care workers are getting the Pfizer vaccine. Operation Warp Speed, a public-private effort, developed the vaccine in less than a year. The vaccine is now available at 425 sites.  The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is expected to grant emergency authorization for the Moderna Vaccine within the next few days. The FDA will hold a meeting on Thursday. The Coronavirus has now taken more than 300,000 lives. On Eve Of FDA Vaccine Meeting U.S. Tops 288,000 Covid Deaths

The United States tops 288,000 covid deaths and 15.3 million cases on the eve of the FDA's vaccine authorization meeting. Biden's son Hunter Biden says his taxes are currently under investigation by the United States Attorney's Office.  United States President Donald Trump seeks to intervene in the longshot Texas lawsuit to overturn the recent presidential election in the four battleground states that Biden won. Supreme Court Denies GOP Effort To Block Certification of Election Votes

The Supreme County denies the GOP's effort to block the certification of Pennsylvania's election results.  The United States has topped 15 million covid-19 cases, which adds to the 1.4 million cases from the first week of December alone. There has been 285,000 deaths in the United States from coronavirus. The FDA review confirms that the Pfizer vaccine is safe and effective ahead of its expected authorization this week.  United States President-elect Joe Biden has introduced his health team and vows that the members of that team will be "ready on day one" of Biden's presidency to fight the coronavirus pandemic. The United States' coronavirus death toll tops 283,000 and 14.8 million cases. On average, more than 2,200 Americans are dying daily from covid. The United States sees one million new cases of coronavirus in the first five days of December. The Pfizer vaccine could be available this week after a FDA meeting. CNN reports that the first vaccine shipments will fall short of what 27 states need to vaccinate frontline healthcare workers and the elderly. Barr to AP: No Evidence of Widespread Fraud That Would Change Outcome of Election

President Donald Trump's Attorney General William Barr told the Associated Press, "there is no evidence of widespread fraud in the election." The AP published an interview with Barr Tuesday. The statements from the attorney general are one of the most recent official rebukes from the Republicans of the president's claims of widespread fraud in his loss to President-elect Joe Biden. Trump and his attorneys are still pursuing legal action to challenge the 2020 election results in some key states. A number of those key states have already certified their results showing President-elect Biden as the winner. Both Arizona and Wisconsin certified their results on Monday. Biden is revealing more about his plans for his first 100 days in office. He introduced his economic team tasked with helping the economy recover from the Covid-19 pandemic Tuesday. The President-elect also discussed calling on Congress to pass a stimulus bill. Health care workers and residents of long-term care facilities will be first in line for any coronavirus vaccines. The vaccine advisers to the US Centers for Disease and Control Prevention voted to include both groups. Vaccinations are expected to begin in mid-to-late December.
