Ep. 532 - The 2019 Summer Movie Wager Results
In this episode: David, Devindra, Peter, and Germain discuss the top ten films of the summer, and how they performed in the Summer Movie Wager. Also tune in to hear an update from Jeff!
The actual top 10 films of summer 2019:
Avengers: Endgame
The Lion King
Toy Story 4
Spider-Man: Far from Home
Aladdin (2019)
John Wick 3
Hobbs & Shaw
The Secret Life of Pets 2
Detective Pikachu
Once Upon a Time in…Hollywood
Godzilla
Rocketman
Men in Black: International
April this year, everyone chose their 1-10 ranked films according to these rules:
- Getting number 1 or number 10 dead-on gets you 13 points (each).
- 10 points for numbers 2-9 dead-on
- 7 points if your pick was only one spot away from where it ended up
- 5 points if it was two spots away
- 3 points if your pick is anywhere in the Top 10
- 1 point for each dark horse that makes it into the Top 10
The scoring is tabulated so that you get the SINGLE HIGHEST point value for each pick- that is, if you get number ten right, you don’t get 13+3, you only get 13. This year people played along submitting their lists on thesummermoviewager.com.
Congratulations to Dael from Puerto Rico on winning the Global Leaderboard!
