Dan Speaks with Dottie Herman -“Richest Self-Made Woman In Real Estate” – Forbes – Episode 1 Dottie Herman was born and raised in Queens and, while studying at Adelphi College in the late 1970s, started a career selling real estate on Long Island.   After building a client list for several years, she and a partner purchased Prudential Long Island Realty, expanded the company to be the largest real estate firm on Long Island, then in 2003 purchased the Douglas Elliman agency, and built that up too to the present day where it is the third largest real estate company in the United States with a team of 7,000 agents working out of 113 offices in the Hamptons, Westchester, Connecticut, Florida, Texas, Massachusetts and California. Sales volume in 2017 that exceeded $27 billion.  And she  is asked in this podcast to tell us all how she did it.
