The book, co-written by Christopher Verga, delves into the often overlooked history of the Cold War era in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Grossman has specialized in investigative reporting in a variety of media for more than 50 years and has hosted the nationally-aired TV program Enviro Close-Up for over 30 years.  

Episode 50: This week on “Dan’s Talks,” Dan speaks with PR and communications expert Robert Zimmerman. The ZE Creative Communications founder/partner has extensive experience in media relations, branding communications and crisis management. He has compiled an extensive background in government and community service The Hamptons resident has also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island.

Episode 49: This week on “Dan’s Talks,” Dan speaks with award winning author Roger Rosenblatt. Throughout his career, he’s been an essayist for Time magazine and PBS NewsHour, author of several New  York Times bestsellers and Distinguished Professor of English and Writing at Stony Brook University. He’s also the first person to ever interview Dan for an issue of Dan’s Papers.

Episode 48: This week on “Dan’s Talks,” Dan speaks with David Nugent, artistic director of the Hamptons International Film Festival, which runs October 7–13 this year. They discussed the procedure for submitting a film, how it gets selected, safety precautions at this year’s festival and HIFF’s track record for selecting films that will win Best Picture at the Oscars (11 times so far).
