080: Jim Sammons
Joe Krebs speaks with Jim Sammons, a fellow Professional Scrum Trainer about how Data Analytics teams can utilize agile in their day-to-day work. Not only did we speak about the importance of visualization, we also connect the dots between the two topics at the end of the episode again.
Jim shares a lot of practical examples about how large Data Analytics projects can be chunked if the focus is on outcome vs. output. The use of inspection and adaption can also be useful when picking the right process framework for Data Analytics projects, which could be Scrum or Kanban. He shares some pro’s and con’s and has Data Analytics build their own opinion about them. Last but not least, Jim is in his early stages of improving his visualization techniques in his classroom so listeners can learn first hand how he tackled the issue of making posters lovable. I hope you enjoy this one.
