The recent documentary, “Hillsong: A Mega Church Exposed,” utterly fails in its attempt to bring God’s true judgment to charlatans such as Brian Houston and Carl Lentz. This is because pagans are not fit to execute just judgments regarding spiritual matters. “When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints? Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life! So if you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who have no standing in the church?”‭‭ 1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:1-4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Each text of Scripture has only one faithful interpretation. It doesn’t matter what a particular Bible verse means to you. It matters what that particular verse means to God.

It is not merely permissible for Christians to resist tyranny, it is necessary. John Knox once said, “Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.” So are there any methods of resistance that the Bible forbids?

Some of these individuals will be missing hunks of flesh from their legs and other parts of their bodies that were used to fashion artificial sex organs. Christian leaders who are largely silent on these issues are neither loving nor kind. The evangelical church should be taking the lead in answering those questions, but an honest observer can see the unspoken compact between the sacred and secular realms that has developed over time.” -Delano Squires
