Many Christians, and even pastors, go to great lengths to conceal and minimize their sin. But a refusal to confess our sins produces only misery and heartache. It causes us to fall under the fatherly displeasure of God. Therefore, Christians should run to God quickly and fully.

I agree that the sabbath is important, and that it occurs on the first day of the week. However, if you are forced for whatever reason to work on Sundays, can you "take a sabbath rest" on a different day of the week?

Dear Pastor Joel, my church says it’s legalistic to put standards on how to dress at church, but at the same time, their standard is a one piece bathing suit at the beach. What are your thoughts on this stance? Also, what are your thoughts about modesty in general?

In this episode, Pastor Joel clearly explains one of the most misunderstood concepts in the Bible: Judgement. Many Christians believe it is always a sin to judge, but is this view actually biblical?

On the surface, Psalm 24 describes David and his men as they approached the gates of Jerusalem with the ark of the covenant. And yet, in a much deeper sense, this is a prophetic description of the majestic scene of heaven directly after the ascension of Jesus. For the first time in history, a man actually approached the gates of heaven and demanded that the angelic beings, who guard them with swords of fire, open up those ancient doors for the very first time. Who is this King of glory? He is the God-man, Christ Jesus.

Is Calvinism and Arminianism the only two views of salvation? Assuming there are others, could you explain the differences?

Most of us would probably say it is always a sin to mock others. However, in the earthly ministry of Christ we see him frequently utilizing satire and other forms of strong language in order to address his opposition. If we are truly called to imitate Christ, should we seek to imitate this aspect of Christ’s ministry as well?
