It’s hard to fathom, but in the United States Reformed Christians make up a very small percentage of protestant congregations and congregants. That means that publishing houses that are much bigger than Reformation Heritage books and personalities with a bigger reach than R.C. Sproul exert significant influence over a much broader swath of American evangelicals than small, reformed outfits. Just as everyone is not fit to reprove (Galatians 6:1), not every one is fit to be reproved (Matthew 7:6). It is not only permissible, but even commanded, that we minister to the wicked. Jesus himself was called the friend of sinners. And yet, Christ clearly instructed his disciples not to preach the gospel to those who were obstinate after the gospel had already been preached to them. Our evangelistic efforts should not be wasted on those who blaspheme the gospel and persecute those who preach it. Instead, we are commanded to turn our efforts towards others (Acts 13:41).

Many Christians simply assume that Judaism esteems the Bible, minus the New Testament. Unfortunately, this is simply not true. Instead, Judaism has its own “New Testament” - the Talmud. For Christians, the New Testament is the fulfillment, and therefore, the interpretive lens, for properly understanding the Old Testament. But in Judaism, the Talmud functions as their “New Testament,” which effectively corrupts and totally undermines all of the Old Testament.
