ANADEL BARBOUR talks to me about a powerful therapeutic technique to treat trauma which shows results more rapidly than traditional "talk therapy." EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) was first used to treat PTSD in soldiers and has since been used extensively in healing other forms of trauma as well as alcoholism and addiction. Anadel explains the origins of EMDR, the actual techniques employed, how it works to reprogram the brain and some of the wonderful results she has seen in her clients. Plus a few laughs along the way.
