Accelerating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
In honor of both Black History Month this February 2023 and the upcoming Women’s History Month in March 2023, CMHC was excited to host a unique webinar that highlighted some of the challenges and advances in managing cardiometabolic health in these populations. Dr. Ferdinand led a discussion with Drs. James Gavin and Rachel Bond about the importance of diversity and inclusion in cardiometabolic health, with a focus on social determinants of health in the management of diabetes, managing women’s cardiovascular risk across the lifespan, as well as strategies for multidisciplinary collaboration.
