#72 Lessons from pioneering, enjoying not going to church and songwriting with Simon Parry
Rachel kicks off this week by exploring what we can learn from pioneering.
She answers a question that we reckon a fair few of you are wondering about... is it okay if we've quite enjoyed the break from physical church? What should we do if we (or our kids) are nervous about going back?
Anna interviews Simon Parry of Allstar Kids Club to find out how we can encourage and equip kids and teens with a heart for songwriting.

We’ve recruited the wonderful Olly Goldenberg to help us answer our listener’s question on how to explain the joy of the Lord to our kids, and in our wildcard section, we have an interview with Dr Naomi Graham, founder of Growing Hope, a charity that provides free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches in the UK.

#69 The Biblical theology of prayer, getting kids to listen to Bible stories and Fuzz Dix on trust
We kick off this week by digging into what the Bible has to say about conversational prayer. Where do we see it in the Bible and how do we apply it to our lives?
Our question comes from a parent who wants her children to enjoy Bible stories but at the moment they're wriggling and squiggling rather than listening. Rachel throws out some ideas to try.
Our wildcard section is an interview with the wonderful Fuzz Dix - children's pastor, mum, foster carer and part of the team at Kids Matter. We asked her how we can help children develop trust, in particular for those who've had their trust broken in the past.

#68 The positive plateau, selfish kids and Alan Charter on fostering
This week, we're talking about 'the positive plateau' - when your child just seems to be sort of chugging along in their faith. Should we be worried and do we need to do anything differently?
Our question this week is from a parent who worries that her children are selfish. Rachel unpacks what might be going on and some different ways to approach this. Here's a link to a resource Rachel mentions about growing gratitude in our children parentingforfaith.org/post/growing-gratitude-our-kids.
In our wildcard section, we hear from the legendary Alan Charter, on fostering. Amongst other things, Alan is the Chair of Home for Good, the Network Facilitator of the Global Children's Forum and a dad with adopted, birth and foster children.
