Micah was raised in upstate New York and joined the military in 2003, later becoming a US Navy Seal and paramilitary contractor. Micah started Heroes and Horses in 2014 after realizing that, despite the thousands of PTSD-related nonprofits, and the billions spent every year, the statistics on veteran suicide and addiction were growing rapidly. I am sure many will want to know if we discussed the recent bombings in Afghanistan, and we did not, as we were recording this episode as that news was being released and did not hear about it until after.
