Then they discuss how the Lord helps Jacob to overthrow Laban's crooked attempts to exploit him. Jacob will leave Laban's homeland an outrageously wealthy man.

Sam and Will discuss Genesis chapters 28 and 29. First, Jacob has a stunning dream of a ladder reaching into the heavens. Our God is actively involved in the affairs of men. Then Jacob arrives at his destination where he falls in love. Sadly, Jacob gets a taste of his own medicine when he is deceived into a covenant with the wrong person.

In our 200th episode, Sam and Will discuss how Jacob listened to his mother's instructions to deceive his father Isaac in order to steal a blessing from his older brother. Esau. Incredibly, God chose to establish His covenant with this very dysfunctional family. Why? What does God intend for us to learn from this?
