The Europa League Final: Villareal's Flawless Penalties
Joe returns! Accompanied by Seb, just Seb, there's a heated debate about the Europa League Final: what exactly was Solskjaer thinking about with his subs? Was he right? And why do we care so much? All of that lead to what might be the most epic penalty shootout? (we did have a vague memory of a better one but we couldn't remember enough about it to actually bring it up). Villareal's penalties, in particular, seemed to defy the laws of pressure.Things were rounded off nicely with some (perversely) fond memories of the European Super League and a few thoughts about Pochettino's unexpected approach from Spurs. What’s Wrong with Everton and Final UCL Places
Seb and JJ are holding the fort again; under discussion: the final games of the season across Europe. Why are Everton so thoroughly quite good?!Lille are crowned French champions, Atleti seal victory in La Liga, and Callum Davidson is everyone's hero as St Johnstone win the cup... twice! The last UCL places are decided in England and Italy with Leicester suffering disappointment again and, much to Seb's dismay, Juventus scraping home without Cristiano Ronaldo. Chelsea vs Leicester: Ding Ding! Round 2
Chelsea were out for revenge against their FA Cup final vanquishers Leicester City. Seb and JJ pick apart the Premier League rematch which came just 75 hours after the Wembley showpiece. The midweek action also saw a goal of the season contender, an exquisite chip from Edinson Cavani, and (much to Seb's dismay) there was another chaotic Spurs performance resulting in defeat at home to Villa. Schmeichel's Steely Arms and a New Breed of Libero
Seb and Alex very much enjoyed watching The FA Cup final and were taken by Youri Tieleman's influence on the game, the incredible strength of Kasper Schmeichel’s wrists, and promising young liberos. They also took advantage of Joe's absence to indulge themselves with a look at the Ligue 2 promotion race, the prospects of a Florentine hotshot, and a thrilling final-round championship climax in Turkey featuring some familiar faces. Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United, & Clive Tyldesley!
JJ Bull, Alex Stewart, and Joe Devine discuss the Premier League's midweek action including a shock Arsenal win over Chelsea and an intriguing match-up between stuttering Leicester and a much-changed Man United. There's an extra special treat this week, too, as Seb Stafford-Bloor sits down with legendary commentator and author of new sort-of-memoir, "Not For Me, Clive". It is of course, as you've guessed, or as you'll know if you've read the episode title, none other than Clive Tyldesley. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Man City's Imperious Defence and a Convincing Chelsea
Joe, Seb, and JJ reflect on the Champions League semi-finals, featuring an imperious defensive performance by Manchester City, the dairy way to express your appreciation of Phil Foden, and some spectacular antics from a particularly petulant PSG.The other semi saw a solid and convinving Chelsea win, thanks in no small part to a dramatic capitulation from Real Madrid. The Madridistas were not amused! (we were). Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
