Liverpool Spurs madness, changes at Leeds Utd and Leicester City draw with Everton
Joe Devine, Jon Mackenzie and Reuben Pinder are here to talk about some football. We talk about the potential sackings of Javi Gracia and Victor Orta at Leeds United. At the time of recording Sam Allardyce has been linked with the Elland Road hot seat so the chaps discuss what that would look like… Staying at the bottom of the table we talk about Leicester City drawing 2-2 with Everton and the wider relegation battle. It was a very “goally” weekend with two 4-3 results, one of which was Liverpool winning 4-3 against Tottenham. A game which exposed the deep, deep flaws in both of these teams. We also whizz through Man Utd Aston Villa and the Serie A table at a depth which is wholly inadequate.Plus volcanic eruptions and Stonehenge…Tickets for the PENULTIMATE Tifo Football podcast live show can be bought at this link - https://www.leicestersquaretheatre.com/tifo-football-live/ This episode of the Tifo football podcast is presented by Joe Devine and produced by Steve Hankey. Newcastle hammer Tottenham, Arsenal fail to win again and a big announcement
Joe Devine, JJ Bull and Reuben Pinder are here to talk about some football. Before we, eventually, get into the show proper. We have a bit of an announcement…Arsenal managed to draw another game, this time against relegation candidates Southampton. Newcastle Utd hammered Tottenham Hotspur 6-1 at St James Park. We recorded before Cristian Stellini left the club and they have, as Pinder predicted, “given it Mason” for the rest of the season.Man Utd are in the FA Cup final after knocking out Brighton on penalties. Wrexham have secured promotion from the National League and their “Hollywood” story, I know I know, continues. And, not at JJ’s suggestion surprisingly, we talk about Aberdeen because they’re doing real good right now.Tickets for the Tifo Football podcast live show can be bought at this link - https://www.leicestersquaretheatre.com/tifo-football-live/(The link will be live from 12:00 on Tuesday 25th April at 12:00 UK time)This episode of the Tifo football podcast is presented by Joe Devine and produced by Steve Hankey. Liverpool Arsenal madness, Lampard back at Chelsea, Newcastle United ownership
Joe Devine, Jon Mackenzie, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Reuben Pinder are here to talk about some football. We tried to make sense of a mental game at Anfield as Arsenal took a point away at Liverpool.Frank Lampard is back at the Bridge just in time to steer Chelsea to a 1-0 defeat to Wolves. Bruno Fernandes played deeper in midfield for Manchester United in their 2-0 win over Everton, we looked at that because we found it interesting. Seb Stafford-Bloor joined us from Germany to guide us through the latest twist in the ongoing saga that surrounds the ownership of Newcastle United. The Pinder-Mackenzie derby saw Leeds take the lead but get blown away 5-1 by Roy Hodgson’s resurgent Crystal Palace.Plus Wrexham won the top of the table clash in the National League including a lovely goal from John Bostock and some goalkeeping heroics by Ben Foster.Oh and we teach Joe how to pronounce quite a few words...This episode of the Tifo football podcast is presented by Joe Devine and produced by Steve Hankey. Chelsea and Leicester sackings, Man City humble Liverpool and race for top four
JJ Bull, Jon Mackenzie and Reuben Pinder are here to talk about some football. There was a surfeit of sackings in the Premier League over the weekend, so the boys rake over the coals of Graham Potter’s six months at Chelsea and the four year Brendan Rodgers era at Leicester City.Manchester City battered Liverpool when it looked like Liverpool might be about to derail The Citizens title bid. That defeat puts the 2020 Premier League winners in real trouble when it comes to qualifying for the Champions League, with Liverpool behind Brighton and Brentford in the standings as those standings stand. That race for the Champions League is being led by Newcastle United and Manchester United, with The Magpies overcoming The Red Devils at St James’ Park over the weekend. And speaking of corvids, we discuss whether a collection of intelligent crows should be allowed to watch a game of football if they had a ticket, as well as some other mad nonsense involving seagulls.Oh and AC Milan vs Napoli plus Bayern München vs Borussia Dortmund. This episode of the Tifo football podcast is presented by JJ Bull and produced by Steve Hankey.
